This year’s series of The X Factor hasn’t been short of controversy and now a former contestant has added to it all by appearing to make a very feisty dig at the show…
Marcus Collins – who lost out to Little Mix in the 2011 final – seemed to hint that it was a FIX when he posted a cryptic message to Instagram this week.
The 28-year-old singer shared an image of himself and his former mentor Gary Barlow as they awaited the result and mysteriously wrote: ‘That arkward moment when you’ve already been told something and have to pretend you don’t know and are hearing it for the first time ’

As one of the original members of the TOWIE cast, Frankie Essex is still very much involved with the drama – and following the recent events with Megan McKenna and Pete Wicks, she’s got a lot to say.
Speaking to Now at the launch of Chloe Goodman’s Opiah Cosmetics, the 28-year-old refused to take sides, but laid into Jacqui Ryland, the woman behind Megan and Pete’s fall-out.
‘I think it’s a really s*** situation. But I’ve taken someone back after they’ve cheated before, you just do what your heart tells you and you can’t listen to everyone else.
‘I love Pete and I love Megan, and I know his feelings for her are real. When you’ve got that bond with someone, it’s real. When Megan found out in Marbella, that’s how she found out.’
Speaking about Jacqui Ryland – the woman who came forward after Pete was messaging her behind Megan’s back – Frankie continued: ‘That b*tch has done this and I don’t now why. She and Pete were only seeing each other for two months, like f*** off! It’s embarrassing! Nobody likes a girl like that.’
On a happier not, Frankie’s brother Joey Essex recently confirmed his relationship with former Made In Chelsea star Stephanie Pratt – and Frankie is made up for them.

‘It’s an excellent way of helping to combat low mood, and so I’d urge you to try and maintain good activity levels, in whatever form you enjoy! Whether it’s cycling to work, a gym class, or yoga, ensure that you schedule your activity into your diary like you would any other appointment so that you are more inclined to stick to it!’
SET THOSE GOALS
‘I’d also highly advise creating some exercise based goals to see you through the winter months and help keep motivation high. Within the gym, try and list three to five things you want to work towards in your training. These could be achieving a pull up, push up, or improving your squats. If the gym isn’t your thing, relate this to your preferred activity, such as swimming an extra few lengths or running that bit further.’
‘Finally, if you do find yourself in a particularly low mood, I would always advise reaching out and speaking to someone. SAD is very common, and sometimes just voicing your thoughts and speaking to an impartial person can help to alleviate symptoms and get you back to feeling 100 per cent!’
After finding out that ex Gaz Beadle had cheated on her several times during their long-term relationship,Lillie Lexie Gregghas shed many tears over the Geordie Shore star while being on the MTV’s Ex On The Beach.
Not only was Gaz getting frisky with Australian Chrysten Zenoni when he was telling Lillie he loved her, but he was also was unfaithful with DJ Melissa Reeves. Lillie had to find out when both women joined the beach earlier this season.
But in the video above, it looks like things are calming down and that 25-year-old Lillie finally makes peace with Gaz as he apologises to her sincerely in the upcoming final of Ex On The Beach.

Gary said: ‘I’m sorry, so sorry I cheated on you!’ He admitted to have made mistakes in the past, like not telling Lillie about his side leaps earlier and her finding out on the program.
However, he confessed he wanted his ex to know that apart from his stumbles, their relationship was real and not ‘non-existing’ as she had labelled it after finding out about him and Chrysten.
After previously stating that she’ll be unable to ever trust anyone again, Gaz says he ‘hasn’t scarred and affected her’ for future relationships.

After reaching the live shows of The X Factor in 2013, Sam Callahan has been laying low for the most part, working on his music career outside of the public eye.
Unfortunately, he’s been thrust into the limelight once again for reasons other than his music – a private video that shows him masturbating, has been leaked on the internet, and is spreading over social media. Delightful.
The 22-year-old singer and gym enthusiast has spoken out about the humiliating affair in a recent chat, and explains that the videos were filmed over two years ago. Though at the time, he thought he was sending the footage to someone he was speaking to romantically, the online identity was apparently not true – and his intimate videos ended up in the hands of someone clearly untrustworthy. Yikes!
‘I was young and foolish back then in 2013 and I was young and foolish in 2014 too, unfortunately I wrongly trusted the person I was speaking to at the time and was completely betrayed and catfished,’ he told The Sun Online on Friday.
‘It’s not something that would happen now. I’m way too focused and driven to put myself in that risky situation, but I guess we live and learn.’
Formerly in contestant in Louis Walsh‘s boys’ category, Sam formed a relationship with his fellow finalist Tamera Foster. Sadly, their romance hit rocky ground when it emerged that he was messaging a glamour model.
‘It was such a stupid thing to do,’ he admitted.
‘I want to apologise to everyone who has been supporting me, especially my friends and family. I never meant to hurt or upset anyone.
‘What was at the time a bit of fun has turned on me to bite me back and it’s a lesson learned. It’s made me grow up very quickly and also shown me that I am too trusting of people.’

'Loose Women' TV show, London, UK - 14 Oct 2016
Stacey Solomon has revealed that she had contracted HPV from a former boyfriend – and now she fears she will develop cervical cancer.
During a discussion about whether people need to be honest about their past sexual relationships with their partners on Loose Women, the singer revealed that she contracted the Human Papillomavirus.
Talking to the panel, the mum-of-two said: ‘I was really upset after that had happened, because that person then told me they had HPV. And it was a serious strain of HPV, which causes cervical cancer.
‘So I then went and had a smear and it turned out that I had contracted it.’
HPV is dangerous to women as it can cause cell changes in the cervix, which could lead to it developing cancerous cells. This is why it’s advisable for women to get regular smear tests.
However, there are different strains of the virus – some cause herpes, some cancers, and most are cured naturally over time.
Stacey added: ‘I always practise safe sex, so I used a condom I did all the right things that I thought were the right things. You have to prepare yourself, you need to know about your partner and find out, at least if they’re not going to be honest…’

How Cheryl’s past with Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini is affecting her future with Liam Payne…
It’s been rumoured for what seems like an eternity and last week Cheryl showed off an undeniable belly as she stepped out in a skintight dress at a L’Oréal Paris party in the French capital. The prospect of her having a baby Chiam with her boyfriend Liam Payne immediately put the duo squarely back on the showbiz map.
Cheryl’s been notable by her absence for a while, no doubt laughing at the speculation over her rumoured pregnancy. But her mum Joan Callaghan put the cat among the pigeons recently when she was pictured buying pregnancy goods in Newcastle.
Just four days later, Cheryl, 33, fulfilled her contractual obligations, looking as beautiful as ever, but her new curves had tongues wagging.
A happy picture, right? A story of true love? Yet scratch beneath the surface and it’s perhaps not quite so rosy. While speculation continues over Cheryl’s ‘pregnancy’, she’s still married to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, 36, who she split with almost a year ago. And there’s still no sign of a divorce. It’s 2016 – what’s the problem?
Our close insider reveals: ‘Liam’s quite old- fashioned in his views and he wants to marry Cheryl. He’d rather have children in wedlock than out, but until she gets divorced she can’t marry him. That’s understandably causing tension. Cheryl’s caught between two men who want very different things.’
As Now reported earlier this year, Cheryl and JB have faced big problems getting a divorce. They married in 2014 in Mustique, which is governed by Grenadine law, and they’re prevented from getting a divorce before three years except in the case of ‘exceptional hardship’ – a point that could be difficult to prove for either of them.
The terms of the divorce have also been the subject of much media speculation. No divorce is ever easy, but reports suggest Cheryl and JB’s has come to a standstill over a confidentiality clause, gagging JB from talking about Cheryl. This is something both camps have denied.
‘Of course, Cheryl and JB don’t want their lives discussed, which is understandable,’ says our source. ‘But whatever the hold-up, they may have to set aside their individual issues.’
Now understands that Liam, 23, wants the divorce to go through no matter what. But this would be a bold move for Cheryl and JB as things appear to be increasingly acrimonious.
Our source tells us; ‘This divorce was always going to be difficult. It’s arguable that Cheryl made a lot of money with JB at her side. He could easily claim he was supporting her and putting his own life to one side. They also know a lot about each other – they were husband and wife and went almost everywhere together’.
There’s also the time they spent backstage together at The X Factor. It’s possible JB has an axe to grind against the whole X Factor team. Simon Cowell recently talked about a row he had with JB, claiming: ‘He was screaming, he put his hand across his neck at me.’ JB denied Simon’s claim.
Despite the possible risks, our insider reveals Liam’s over the waiting game. ‘He’s had enough. He wants Cheryl to walk away and neither party to hold up the divorce. Of course, if JB were to say anything it would be difficult with their profiles because it would be seen by everyone. But Liam doesn’t think they have to worry about JB. He’s in love with Cheryl and wants to marry her.’
Back on The X Factor and even more shamazing than before – Nicole Scherzinger talks the judges, Simon’s son Eric and Honey G
‘You can make your grand entrance now, Nicole,’ her PR Sundraj shouts as Now walks into a suite at London’s ME Hotel. We’re here to interview Nicole Scherzinger, and suddenly an assistant pulls away one of the curtains, revealing the X Factor judge. She’s reclining on the window sill and grinning at us.
She’s wearing a red dress and has sunglasses planted on her face. She begins our interview – she’s here in her capacity as the face of Muller Simply Bliss – by sighing dreamily (something she does a lot) before declaring to the room: ‘Wow! It’s SO bright in here!’ The dancing on tables and dramatic pauses you see on TV aren’t forced: this is Nicole Scherzinger – she glides over to the plush white sofa, framed by two chaise lounges, perches on the edge and says: ‘Sit down, babe.’ [It’s shamazing]
Nicole smells just as you’d expect, clean and floral. On the coffee table is a latte – in a glass – a bowl of fruit and some flowers. The former Pussycat Doll drapes herself across the curved sofa. She doesn’t say anything but the look on her face [we think, she’s still wearing the sunglasses which stay on for the duration of our interview] tells us it’s time to begin…
You’re back on The X Factor this year – does that feel like coming home to you?
It really does. I miss London so much, especially when the sun is shining. It feels really natural to be back here, it’s just fun. It feels like everything… fits.
So, Honey G – she’s really dividing people…
All I keep hearing about is Honey G! She’s definitely standing out. I found her first audition very entertaining, I don’t know if I loved it. I don’t know where she’s going to go now. She might just be a one-trick pony and we’re going to get bored of that soon.
Is it difficult to work with Simon?
I think he’s coming across really well this year! I’m agreeing with him and he seems a lot softer than usual, I think he’s actually kind of funny at times. I think he’s in a great place – I don’t know if it’s Eric – but it reflects. It feels like a family and you just can’t fake that.
Was it good to have a break from The X Factor?
It definitely feels like I’ve been away. I think we’re all much more relaxed and in different places in our lives now.
Have there been any rows between the panel this year?
We have a history, but we all have respect for each other. We’ve been in the game for a minute – we’re not newbies. We know how to do this and we’re the best at what we do.
Will you duet with any of The X Factor acts in the final again this year?
[Pauses] I don’t know. I can’t predict that. Like, it was natural before when I duetted with my boys, Jahmene [Douglas] and James [Arthur].
How do you feel about James’s incredible comeback [after being re-signed to Simon’s record label, James is currently No 1 in the charts]?
My faith never wavered and I always believed in him. I’ve kept in contact with all three of my boys from that year. James has just been through a really hard time. I actually tweeted him today: ‘I knew they couldn’t hold you down.’ I always told him cream rises to the top.
You seem more involved with your acts than some of the previous judges [Katie Waissel, from series seven, has been incredibly vocal about the lack of support she received from former judge Cheryl]…
They’re my little brothers, of course. I know what they’re all doing, all the time, because I just have to hear from them. We had something special – that was a special year for us. It was the first time a judge had all three of their acts in the quarter final. There were four people left and I had three of them. I don’t think I’ll ever re-create that magic.
If you were on The X Factor and you made it to the final, who would you like to duet with?
That’s a great question, I don’t think I’ve ever been asked that! [Pauses for a long time)] The first person who would’ve come to mind is one of my best friends, Prince. Every year I tried to get him on The X Factor! Maybe Stevie Wonder, because he’s a legend. It would be awesome to do something with Beyoncé or Ed Sheeran. Gosh, it’s a really, really good question. I’m thinking Alicia Keys or Adele. Oh my God, I would go ape shizzle to do a duet with – or work with – Sia. That’s the one.
Tell us, are you planning to release any new music?
I’m in the studio working on a really big project for the New Year and I might be signing on to a new movie. I actually just played the lead in the movie musical Dirty Dancing.
When you’re not working, how do you like to treat yourself?
[Sighs and looks dreamily out of the window] A big, fat Mexican burrito and a margarita! Or a big ol’ plate of pasta and a glass of vino. A nice deep tissue massage, some good music and… [sighs] yeah.
What do you like to cook for your friends?

So many things. The people, the architecture and the buildings. The parks are magical.
Do you really get to enjoy all of that? It must be hard with all of the attention you get…
I like to run, so when I have a hat on and sunglasses you can’t really catch me! That’s nice. I have my headphones on too, so I just go. It’s funny.
Children’s TV staple
You couldn’t turn on CBBC in the Noughties without seeing The Story Of Tracy Beakerall up in your grill.
Cheeky Tracy, who lived in a children’s home, was a creation of cult kids’ writer Jacqueline Wilson, and was later brought to kids’ TV. But what happened to bubbly star Dani Harmer, now 27?
Born for the stage
Born in 1989, the actress was pretty much destined for a life in the limelight, given that her mum Jill was a children’s casting agent. Handy, that. Dani won a scholarship to Redroofs Theatre School – where Kate Winslet went – when she was seven, which led to stints in the theatre and a part as an extra in Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone. But she got her big break in The Story Of Tracy Beaker at the age of 12. However, Dani didn’t enjoy stage school, saying: ‘It was like being in Fame 24/7 – it was a nightmare.’
Child star
Despite this, school was a springboard for Dani who went on to star in several Tracy Beaker spin-offs such as The Tracy Beaker Survival Files. Speaking about the iconic role, she said: ‘I was 12 when I started playing Tracy. It has been amazing growing up with her. I guess sometimes when we were growing up we went through the same things at the same time – but hopefully handling it differently!’
Dancing with destiny
The actress jumped at the chance to do Strictly Come Dancing in 2012, saying: ‘When I got offered the show I pretty much bit their arm off.’ Partnered with Vincent Simone, Dani reached the final, coming fourth – with Len Goodman nicknaming her ‘Munchkin’ due to her height of 5ft 1in. ‘Len is the only person I would ever let call me “Munchkin”,’ Dani said. ‘Anyone else would get a thump on the nose.’
A new direction
Since Dani appeared on Strictly, she’s appeared on stage in shows such as The Rocky Horror Show – and she became a mum for the first time with boyfriend Simon Brough, giving birth to baby Avarie-Belle in June of this year. She said: ‘I just feel the most happy I’ve ever felt in my entire life. We’re in a complete little love bubble.’

Are Liam Payne and Cheryl about to announce a little something?
In recent weeks a Cheryl and Liam Payne‘s have been busy jetting across the globe amid a barrage of pregnancy rumours .
But Cheryl, 33, and the One Direction singer, 23, aren’t letting distance get in the way of their plans. According to our insider, the couple – who’ve only been dating officially since February – are ready to start a family and are even getting the nursery ready.
The rumour mill that Cheryl is expecting her first child with Liam went into overdrive on Sunday 2 October when Cheryl stepped out on the L’Oreal red carpet in Paris and looked curvier than we have seen her in years. Onlookers even claimed they could see a bump.
This was following pictures that emerged of Cheryl’s mum, Joan, shopping in Newcastle’s Mothercare buying pregnancy pillows and a bump wedge, which pregnant women use to aid their sleep.
Our source adds:
‘Cheryl’s never been more determined to have a baby. It’s like it’s the only thing in the world that matters to her. She’s never been so focused on something,’ reveals our source.
‘She’s always been very anxious about being able to conceive and sees this as her opportunity to have the baby she’s always wanted. She’s been prepping every element of her life to give this her best shot – and Liam’s really excited about it.
‘Cheryl has a stash of pregnancy and motherhood books she’s always reading. She wants to be completely mentally prepared so she can be the best parent.’
Just last month, Now reported that Liam was asking former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, 24, who’s dad to seven-month-old Freddie, for advice on fatherhood. And our source says he and Cheryl can’t wait to be parents.
‘There’s even a bedroom at the house they’ve designated as “the nursery”. They always chat about what they’re going to do with it, the colour scheme and every little detail. It’s really cute. Cheryl’s never planned like this before. This is her goal, this is what she wants and she’s putting everything into it – even her career has to be put on hold.’
It’s not a total surprise for fans, who’ve speculated for some time that a mini ‘Chiam’ may be imminent, and following Cheryl’s new appearance in L’Oréal’s latest advert campaign, which sees her looking fuller-faced, Directioners were quick to put two and two together and suggest she’s already expecting.
Even Simon Cowell fanned the flames in a recent interview, saying; ‘Cheryl would be an amazing mum. I’ve seen her with my son Eric and other kids over the years and she’s incredible – I think she’s in a good place in her life right now.’
And when asked about reports of the pair trying for a baby, Simon, 56, added: ‘I guess that’s what happens when you’re with someone.’
Jordan’s back, and Kieran Hayler is said to be ready to pack his bags…
It’s no secret that their marriage has been blighted from the start. But three and a half years since they both said ‘I do’, is Kieran Hayler about to call time on his marriage to Katie Price?
Now understands that, despite Kieran, 29, being caught having an affair with Katie’s best friend Jane Pountney, now 51, it’s him who’s ‘had enough’ and is threatening to ‘walk away’.
Our insider tells us that two years of counselling (Kieran has had sex therapy and KP has hired counsellors to help her overcome the betrayal) had solidified the marriage, but it was all thrown into doubt when Katie was spotted with Geordie Shore’s Scotty T a couple of weeks ago.
Although there was nothing to suggest the pair are more than just friends, the meeting made headlines and sparked speculation over their relationship. Pictures showed the duo out and about in Newcastle, where Scotty, 28, is said to have spent an hour in Katie’s hotel room.
The mother of five, 38, quickly denied that she and the reality TV star are involved romantically, tweeting: ‘Another pathetic story tomorrow because @ScottGShore took me and my friend for a sunbed in Newcastle wow such scandal.’ She later tweeted a screengrab of Google Maps with the caption: ‘This is the place me and @francescabrits went for sunbed, add that to your story dicks.’
Hours later, the drama took a twist when Scotty’s girlfriend of 18 months Francesca Toole dumped him – just a day after he called her the ‘love of his life’. Now understands that when Scotty received the news via text he jumped up and threw his phone to the floor, saying: ‘F**king girls, man! Looks like I’m single again…’
Now it’s Katie’s relationship that faces the axe. Just last Friday, Katie admitted that there’s some turbulence in her marriage and she’s stepping away from the limelight for a few weeks to try to concentrate on righting the wrongs. She revealed that her latest book Reborn has reopened wounds, which she’ll try to deal with during couples therapy sessions.
While she insisted that she and her husband aren’t splitting, she did almost mistakenly refer to him as ex-husband Peter Andre on Loose Women. But despite Kieran’s declarations of love on the show, can they get their marriage back on track? Our source believes they’re both at breaking point, but Kieran might be the one to walk first.
The reports about Scotty and Katie have done nothing to help. Scotty’s never hidden how he feels about Katie – last January he tweeted: ‘@MissKatiePrice needs to bin that knob off and just get with me like #PuaMilf’. Our insider says: ‘Kieran saw that tweet and can’t tolerate any more humiliation.’ A little rich, coming from a man who had unprotected sex with his wife’s best friend?
A friend of the couple tells Now: ‘What Kieran did was terrible, but he’s done everything he can to try to make it up to Kate. He’s like her whipping boy and he puts up with it because of the guilt he has.
‘Kate’s ditched the woman he married and replaced her with Jordan. Stripping off, baring her boobs, nights out, all while he’s at home looking after the kids and the house. She constantly brings up what happened with him and Jane, stopping them from ever being able to move on.
‘Katie’s constantly away because she has so many work commitments. Kieran knows it’s her job, but at the same time he’s sick of being the one who’s left behind to keep the house going. He spends his days cleaning up, sorting the kids’ clothes out and making sure that all of Katie’s things are ready if she is going off on a trip somewhere. He also does most of the cooking.’ Kieran himself even recently admitted: ‘I would have a f**king well easy life if I wasn’t with [Katie]!’
‘The pictures of her with Scotty just add to the problems and for Kieran they’re “the straw that broke the camel’s back”,’ adds our source. Perhaps, after weeks of embarrassing Kieran by recounting stories of her sex meetings with a married man in her book and on national television, the ball is finally back in Kieran’s court?
Our source tells us: ‘Kieran’s been emasculated by Kate over the past two years. He gets what he’s done but she keeps on bringing it up publicly, which adds to his humiliation. The kids are older now so they understand everything.
He knows she’s making money from baring all but there’s only so much he can take before he snaps and that’s happening now – he’s at breaking point.
‘When he saw Kate with Scotty, he went mad. He confronted her, accusing her of having double standards and blatantly flirting with Scotty. He was so livid he screamed: “I’m not scared of leaving you! Just try me.”’
Our insider adds: ‘Kate told him he was being ridiculous but Kieran feels he’s been kept like a prisoner in their home ever since he cheated – yet Katie is out there hanging out with guys and making a fool of him.’
Meanwhile, Katie’s making big money and headlines again – earlier this year, the Loose Woman was spotted in McTavishes bar in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca. Aside from her drunkenly singing karaoke, insulting her ex Peter and making an awkward joke about disabled son Harvey, she’s also reported to have made Kieran sing a Peter Andre song during his own karaoke session.
Our source says: ‘She doesn’t want to change how she behaves but Kieran says he’s had enough and is ready to pack his bags if Katie keeps pushing him like this. It’s fair to say that their relationship is hanging in the balance. During the little time they spend together they end up arguing about other men.
‘Kieran was rowing with Katie about revelations in her latest book that she slept with a married man. He thought that was unnecessary. Then there’ve been arguments over the fact she’s said she was ‘obsessed’ with Pete and it seems as though a part of her still loves him. All these things are making Kieran insecure.’
Now understands that during the most recent showdown, following the pictures of Kate and Scotty, their relationship hit a new low. Our source adds: ‘Kieran’s ready to walk. He feels he can’t live up to the marriage she had with Pete and Kate looks at her marriage to him through rose-tinted glasses. ‘Of course, Kate has had a lot to deal with, not least trying to forgive Kieran for his betrayal but two years on, things aren’t much better for the couple. They’re barely together and have very little in common.
‘She thinks Kieran has no right to be dictating to her what she can and can’t do, especially when she’s funding their lifestyle. She keeps telling him that unless he has a better way of making money, he needs to pipe down.’ But could Kate be pushing Kieran too far? ‘Things can’t go on the way they are – Kieran will only put up with so much,’ says the friend.
But Katie is in no mood to back down. ‘She’s finally enjoying being Jordan again – having fun and creating headlines,’ explained the friend. ‘She thinks Kieran just has to accept that her being out there is what keeps her relevant – no matter the consequences…’
Singer Selena Gomez gets support from her favourite Friend, Jennifer Aniston
She’s having a tough time battling both lupus and depression, but Selena Gomez got a huge boost when her favourite ‘Friend’ made a surprise visit.Now can reveal that last week Jennifer Aniston, 47, dropped into the rehab centre that Selena, 24, is staying in to show her support.
An insider says: ‘Selena’s allowed a limited number of visitors a day, but she got the surprise of her life when Jen showed up. She’s incredibly supportive of Selena and knows she must be feeling awful, getting caught up in the Brangelina divorce drama. Seeing Jen was exactly what Selena needed. She’s so funny and sweet and she really cheered her up.
‘Selena’s been going through hell with anxiety and depression over her lupus and Jen wanted to let her know everyone was rooting for her. She even turned up with a card signed by all their friends back home in LA.’
The pair hit it off after meeting at a party in December 2014.Describing their encounter at the time, Selena said: ‘We met through my management so it was kind of like a friendly meeting and instantly she’s, like, inviting me to her house.
‘She has a pizza oven. Like, we’ve made pizzas at her house. She’s very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of maternal advice.’
No doubt Selena will have been grateful for Jennifer’s support as she concentrates on getting better. The pop star checked into the Christian-based, female-only retreat on the East Coast after cancelling her Revival tour in August to ‘take a break’.
She told her fans: ‘As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways. I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges. I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and the best way forward is to take some time off.’
Matters weren’t helped when Selena had a social media feud with ex Justin Bieber.
Selena also had to deal with the death of her close friend Christina Grimmie, and then she found herself being dragged into Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce battle. Her name was mentioned in conjunction with rumours Angelina had been suspicious that Brad had been flirting with her when the two met at the Golden Globe Awards.

Former Strictly Come Dancing heartthrob Gleb Savchenko can't understand why Giovanni Pernice dumped 'gorgeous' Georgia May Foote...
Now is totally loving Strictly Come Dancing this year, but there’s just one thing missing that would make it perfect – Gleb Savchenko and his rippling muscles.
We wept when the 33-year-old Russian heartthrob quit the show just before it came back to our screens so he could be with his wife Elena Samodanova, 32, and their five-year-old daughter Olivia back in the States.
He’s still busting out the moves – this time on America’s Dancing With The Stars – and to our relief will be coming back to the UK on 11 December for a one-off show in London along with former Strictly co-star Kristina Rihanoff.
But in the time between the last series ending and the new one beginning, Gleb’s former Strictly colleague Giovanni Pernice, 29, has split from Georgia May Foote, 26, and
Len Goodman has also announced his departure. So when we pick up the phone to the sex symbol for chat on life post-Strictly, we’re bubbling with questions for Gleb – who should replace Len, who’s going to win, will Giovanni put the moves on his new dance partner Laura Whitmore and finally, why won’t he just move back to London and come back on the show to make Now happy?
Hi Gleb, how’s life in sunny LA? Are you missing the UK?
It’s gorgeous and the weather is the best. I’m missing the UK sometimes – I miss maybe a coffee in the morning in Primrose Hill. Life is great here, though. My wife and daughter are here and it’s nice to wake up in the morning and see them, go to work and come back to them in the evening for more quality time. I don’t have to take the Tube – I just drive, which is a good thing. Every morning it’s sunny; we have a pool; we have friends here. It’s not as hard as in the UK and the show is great, I really enjoy it. It’s different – very exciting – they do a lot more things than they do in the UK version. I’ve definitely done the right thing.
Have you managed to watch any of UK’s Strictly Come Dancing shows so far?
I watched the first episode and I thought it was great. Great cast, great dancing. But I feel I have a bit of the UK every week as Len and Bruno [Tonioli] are here judging every week on Dancing With The Stars, so I feel I’m almost doing the same show.
Who’s the biggest player of the professionals on Strictly now?
I know where you’re going with this question – I love it – but it’s hard for me to say because I’m not there and I don’t know what’s happening. The dancers are all my friends, they all have different things going on. Some are married, some are engaged, some are single and they’re just living their lives and that’s what it’s about, you know? It’s not about a Strictly curse like everyone says – it’s about if you’re available, you’re available, and if you want to become available, you become available, so it just depends on the person.
Who do you think might get together on this year’s show – could it be Giovanni and Laura?
Well, he’s a friend of mine. He’s an awesome guy and again, Georgia is a friend too. I loved them being together on the show and they became such a cute couple, so I was really disappointed when I knew they’d broken up. I was like: ‘You know, Giovanni, she’s a great girl, you don’t want to miss that one – you should have stayed together with her.’ But again he’s Italian, he’s passionate; probably dancing takes over the feelings so these things happen.
I don’t know. She’s a gorgeous girl. How can you end the relationship with such a gorgeous girl?!
Is his new dance partner Laura more his type?
Well, my sister is blonde and married to an Italian and all Italians love blondes, so maybe… You never know!
Wouldn’t Georgia be devastated if they hook up?
[At this point Giovanni’s publicist interrupts to tell us not to ask any more questions about Laura and Giovanni]
Moving on, then… Who should replace Len Goodman on Strictly when he leaves?
It’s going to be hard for the show, because Len’s been there since season one and he’s the most knowledgeable guy in ballroom. They need to find someone like him, so I would put Anton [Du Beke] as a judge.
Why Anton?
Well, first of all, he’s closer to Len’s age [laughs]. Secondly, he’s a great character with a great sense of humour. And he’s a very good dancer who knows what he’s talking about. He’s an awesome guy and when I was doing the show I enjoyed Anton’s company. And I would be a perfect judge on Strictly Come Dancing – in a couple of years so they should consider me too!
If they offered, it would mean moving back to the UK. Would you take it?
It’s really early to talk about it because obviously we know it is not going to happen [laughs], but maybe a few years in the future. My wife is a judge on Russia’s version of the show and she’s doing great and loves having moved on from being competitive, so I would love to do it one day too.
Did Len ever talk to you about his decision to leave?
I think it’s hard for him with all the travelling. I’m 33 and I hate travelling and he probably hates it even more.
You were last year’s Strictly heartthrob. Which professional dancer will take over from you as main heartthrob this year?
The boys look great but my tip would be just take off your shirt and you’ll be a heartthrob. You don’t have to do much!
Do you ever get bored of taking your top off?
No, I don’t mind. If I had a choice, I’d probably do a couple of dances without a shirt so I don’t have to spend time taking it off during my dance.
Ola and James Jordan confessed to Now that they had sex in their dressing room. Did you ever do the same?
Oh my God! No, I have never done the same. I have my own bed for that and my own home!
James said he used to get jealous of who Ola was dancing with. Have you and your wife ever had that problem?
We never have this problem. Sometimes my wife would come out for dinner with whichever celebrity I’m paired up with to encourage them to open up and be more passionate in the dances. It’s like acting, in certain scenes where you have to be emotional or whatever – but it is just a job.
Ola also said male contestants would get turned on when she was training with them, or they would break wind. Did any of your female contestants ever have a similar problem?
How are you managing with making it to rehearsals for your new show One More Dance with Kristina Rihanoff? You’re busy filming in the US and Kristina’s just had a baby and is based in the UK…
For us dancers, we are pros so we need just a week or two to put the whole show together. We’ve talked about the numbers and the music we’ll use and you are going to see a lot of Gleb specials from Strictly…
How is Kristina finding becoming a mum?
My wife talks to her all the time. She’s doing great and the baby is so cute. I’ve seen pictures and I can’t wait to catch up when I come to London.
Is she missing Strictly?
I’ve not talked to her about it, but as we’re professional dancers who’ve danced all our lives, we miss dancing – that means we don’t have to be on Strictly or this or that, we just miss the show, to be on stage and perform. So for Kristina, One More Dance is a great opportunity after having a baby to come out and do a great show.
Do you ever speak to your Strictly partner from last year Anita Rani?
I haven’t talked to her for a very long time. She’s busy, time is different, but when I’m in London I will invite her to see my show.
Finally, who do you think will win Strictly this year?
It’s hard to say after the first few weeks. I wouldn’t make a bet until week six. It’s too early to tell for me.

Singer Will Young sensationally quit Strictly Come Dancing on Tuesday 11 October after performing just two dances with his partner Karen Clifton.
But ‘WHY?!’ we keep on hearing you ask. Well, we’ve done a little digging and here’s everything you need to know right now…
Why did Will quit?
So far the singer, 37, has cited ‘personal reasons’ for hanging up his dancing shoes.
In a statement he said: ‘To be a part of Strictly has been a long time ambition of mine. As a performer, a viewer, and a fan of the show, to dance as a contestant was an experience I always hoped for. I have made some great friends, and am in awe of their performances week in, week out. I have found a creative partnership with Karen that has been the most wonderful thing to experience. I will be eternally grateful to her for her direction, talent and guiding me through three wonderful dances that I will be able to show my grandkids in years to come.
‘Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons. I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television. I am so grateful to everyone who works on Strictly from the lighting designer to catering to the production team. Strictly truly is the most unique family and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. And finally thank you to the BBC for supporting me throughout my journey. I wish my compatriots so much luck, and although I am back to being a viewer again, I’m certainly going to ‘keeeep dancing’!’
What ‘personal’ difficulties has Will had to face in the past?
Sadly, Will has a long history of mental heath struggles and reports claim he was struggling with the pressure of being on the BBC show. In the past he has admitted to suffering such severe emotional breakdowns that he didn’t even recognise his own face. Will once spent six months in therapy at a trauma centre.
Having battled depression before, Will was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder, depersonalisation and derealisation (a loss of recognition and sense of context). He was put on antidepressants.
It took him nearly two years to recover, during which time he feared he would never write a song again – and couldn’t bear to even listen to music.
Was his bust up with Len the trigger?
Will quit after viewers saw him clash with head-judge Len, who did not think his Bollywood style salsa was good enough. Will hit back at Len while on the defensive, but Len told him to ‘show up, keep up and shut up.’ Ouch.
It seems their fallout was just water under the bridge after the show aired though. Sources confirmed that the pair joked about it backstage and Will even admitted, ‘I love Len and don’t want to come across disrespectful.’
What has his dance partner Karen Clifton said?
Karen is pretty gutted…
I'm so sad that Will has decided to quit the show and I know it wasn't an easy decision for him.
There’s been calls for Tameka Empson’s to return following her eviction on Saturday but BBC bosses have poo-poo’d that pretty quickly
‘The series will continue as planned with an elimination every week until the grand final. The previous eliminated contestants will not be returning to the competition’ the BBC said.
They didn’t say anything about a replacement in that statement though, did they?!
Before the final contestants were announced there was LOADS of rumours about Cheryl joining the show. But with rumours of her being ‘mit baby’ at the mo we’re guessing that rules her out. Another strong contender was Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton.
Who has quit before?
In 2006 comedian Jimmy Tarbuck pulled out as he struggled with dizzy spells.
In 2007 Kelly Brook withdrew from the show following the sad news that her father had died.
