We’re no strangers to celebs saying odd things – but Jay McGuiness‘ latest interview may just be the most bizarre we’ve heard in a long time.
The Wanted star was chatting to Zoe Ball on Strictly Come Dancing‘s sister show, It Takes Two, when he was shown a video of an adorable two year old – described as one of his biggest fans – dancing along with him on the telly.

‘That is little Ray from London,’ Zoe explained, adding: ‘His mum Lindsey sent in the video. In years to come, he’s going to love you for this, Lindsey!’
But, whilst the rest of us cooed over the gorgeous little lad, the cuteness brought about some pretty weird feels in Jay.
Asked ‘isn’t he gorgeous?” by Zoe, Jay replied ‘no.’
He then went on: ‘I just want to cut off his hair and hands and feet and squeeze him. And just put him in a bag and kick it. Cute.’
Eh??
Despite Jay’s seriously odd comments, the toddler’s mum Lindsey has since taken to Twitter to reveal that she wasn’t offended – but confessed that she’d like to keep the little cutie in one piece, thanks very much.
She wrote: ‘@JayMcGuiness it was my baby boy Ray dancing. He didn’t take offence, but would like to keep his curls. #teamjay.’

Yet other Twitter users weren’t so forgiving.
One wrote: ‘Whenever I express affection I dismember something, put it in a bag, and kick it. Totally normal.’
Another added: ‘As a parent I am horrified by this.’
Whilst we reckon Jay probably didn’t mean anything sinister with his, we don’t think we’ll be asking him to babysit for us anytime soon…
