There's nothing we love more than a First Dates success story.
We were starting to get a bit disheartened after a lack of fairytale endings on Channel 4’s First Dates, but it’s just been confirmed that THERE IS A SUCCESS STORY. Hurrah!
Adam and Dan who appeared on last night’s episode have apparently been seeing each other for 7 weeks following their initial blind date on the popular TV show.
It’s been going so well, in fact, that they’ve announced they’re officially in a relationship. N’aww.
The two hit it off over a mutual love of Kylie Minogue, with Adam telling his date that he came out as gay after suffering a stroke at 21 and falling for a male nurse.

He said:’ I went in hospital straight and came out gay’
‘I shocked everyone when I came out. I was obsessed with Julia Roberts when I was at school and had posters of her all over my walls. Even now I fancy her but it’s like ‘foo foo’ yuk!’
All the lols.
And whilst last night’s episode ended with cute snaps of the two snuggling up for dog walking selfies on the beach, they’re not the first First Dates couple to make it to relationship territory.
Nicola Lloyd, the show’s executive producer told The Guardian back in September that there were some couples still together.
She said: ‘Some of [the participants] take a while to get themselves together. They’ll tell us that they didn’t get a text back, or that they didn’t call. So we ring the other side of the date, and then they call. We continue to play matchmaker.’
But she admitted that ‘We’re hoping this year to get a couple together who stay together and get married. That’d be the ultimate goal for everyone.’
Come on Adam and Dan, we’re rooting for you.
