The singer has taken to Instagram to clear up the rumours

Mel B worried fans when it emerged she had to be rushed to hospital after going blind in one eye, with reports claiming it was down to a recurring herpes infection.

‘This has happened before. She has herpes in her eye, so this can happen,’ a source had claimed to PEOPLE magazine.

But Scary Spice, 43, has hit back at the speculation surrounding what caused the temporary blindness.

After thanking her fans for their support, Mel said: ‘Just so you know the real truth. I had an awful experience last week when I went blind in my right eye and my left eye went blurry.’

The singer insisted it had never happened to her before and rubbished the source stories claiming it had.

‘I was actually in a lot of pain and very very scared but thanks to the incredible eye specialists in A&E at London’s Moorfields Hospital and after at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital I was diagnosed by and eye specialist with severe IRITIS in my right eye and UVEITIS in my left eye.’

Iritis is swelling that affects the coloured ring around your pupil and the cause is often unknown, while uveitis is the inflammation of the middle coloured layer of the eye.

Mel B continued: ‘I’m taking multiple prescription heavy duty eye drops and other medication the dr gave me that I have to take every day to keep the inflammation under control.’

She added, ‘I’m still dealing with it and will be fir the next 3/4 months to fully get it under control but I’m no longer worried that my condition will get worse. My only problem now is I have to find a very cool Scary eye patch. Does anyone – apart from Madonna – know where I can get one??’

Mel, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri have been busy rehearsing for the tour which kicks off this Friday in Dublin.

The band will perform 12 dates, including three sold-out shows in London.

Kerry Katona has ripped into The Jeremy Kyle Show after the series was permanently axed by ITV following the death of a guest.

The show was taken off air after Steve Dymond is suspected to have taken his own life after failing a lie detector test that was determining if he had cheated on his former fiancee.

Addressing ITV’s decision to scrap the show entirely, the former Atomic Kitten singer, 38, agreed that it was the right move.

Writing in her new! column, Kerry said: ‘I’m a good friend of Jeremy Kyle and I’ve appeared on his show before.

‘He’s always been lovely to me – although he can be an arrogant little t***.

‘But I don’t think you can blame him or the programme for the tragic death of one of his guests.’

The mum, who appeared on the show herself in 2012, added: ‘It feels like the right time to put the show to bed.

Kerry, who’s made no secret of her past battles, said now there’s a gap in programming she wants to pitch her own show about mental health, with her taking on presenting duties.

Following the tragic death, TV host Jeremy said he was ‘devastated’ and offered his condolences to Steve’s friends and family.

He said: ‘Myself and the production team I have worked with for the last 14 years are all utterly devastated by the recent events.

‘Our thoughts and sympathies are with Steve’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time.’

ITV said they still plan to work with the presenter in the future.

Big Brother star Stephanie Davis had Hollyoaks viewers in tears over her ‘incredible’ portrayal of a rape victim on Tuesday night.

Her character, Sinead O’Connor, is currently involved in a difficult storyline with on-screen husband, Laurie Shelby – played by Kyle Pryor – after he has raped her.

Peter Andre’s dream of making it big in America may be under threat as his wife Emily MacDonagh refuses to move.

Katie Price has denied claims she is launching a career in porn after spending thousands on more plastic surgery.

Pricey recently jetted out to Istanbul to go under the knife and returned with a dramatic face lift, liposuction and a tummy tuck.

And since returning Katie, 40, was said to have been looking into doing a Kim Kardashian-style sex tape to show off her new bod.

A source told Closer magazine: ‘Katie says all the biggest porn stars have hourglass figures, and that is she wants to compete with them, she needs to copy their look to catch casting directors’ eyes – which was why she wanted to boost her rear.

‘She’s positive that her new body will launch a lucrative porn career and has pointed out how well Kim Kardashian has done from her sex tape.’

But insiders have now rubbished those rumours.

But… mum-of-five Katie HAS starred in her own adult film.

Back in the day she made an X-rated tape with her ex Dane Bowers which mysteriously resurfaced this week.

At the time she spoke candidly about the film, which she made when she was six months pregnant.

Meanwhile, it was reported Katie was in ‘agony’ with her recovery, having undergone a string of intensive surgeries in one day.

Immediately post surgery Katie, who is dating Kris Boyson, was spotted with blood-soaked bandages on her face.

But she was quick to reassure her fans and posted on Instagram: ‘I know I look unrecognisable here but 4 days after surgery so very swollen and look like a alien but can’t believe how quick I’m recovering from my surgery from head to toe.

‘Wait for my before and after pictures,’ she added.

‘Now I’ve had a kick start more healthy eating and training.’

Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry and former Love Islander Sam Gowland seem to be living it up on holiday following their recent break up.

Having announced their split earlier this month, the amicable ex-lovebirds have jetted off on holiday together.

And in true Chloe Ferry style, the feisty telly star has shared a series of mega sultry bikini snaps.

Posing up a storm in a VERY revealing black bikini and sipping on a frozen pina colada, the 23-year-old reality gal shamelessly showcased her assets.

Wearing her Barbie-esque locks in a relaxed beachy wave and sporting a pair of stylish sunnies, Chlo looks like she’s in total holiday mode.

Although a fair few of Chloe’s followers weren’t feeling the look, with plenty pointing out that her swimming get-up looks slightly on the small side.

One commenter insisted: ‘I’m sorry but this doesn’t look good you could wear a bikini top that fits and it would be so much nicer,’ while another piped up to agree, adding: ‘No chloe, no u look a state, get a bikini that fits, it’s embarrassing .’

Oh dear!

Despite seeming chilled out, the sunny getaway comes after it was revealed that Chloe and boyfriend of 17 months Sam had split.

Some eagle-eyed fans spotted Sam alongside Chloe on the break abroad, after they noticed what looked like his distinctively tattooed arm in her photograph.

One wrote: ‘Did Sam turn up? cos that’s defo a mans arm next to u ,’ and another contributed: ‘That’s Sams Tattoo .’

Squishing the speculation the pair had reunited to give romance another go, Chloe took to Instagram to set things straight on why she was on vacay with her ex.

In a video to her 3.2 million followers she explained: ‘To answer everyone’s questions, me and Sam are not back together. Yeah, we live together because we’ve got a mortgage together, we can’t just chuck one another out. And why are we on holiday together? Because we work together and Sam’s best friend’s here.’

Well that’s cleared that up!

The ITV show is changing up its aftercare process

Love Island bosses have announced the new details of the show’s duty of care process just a few weeks before the fifth series of the ITV dating show is set to start.

With the next season of the award winning reality programme set to begin on 3rd June, telly execs have announced ‘key changes’ in the way contestants are looked after.

The updated care programme for Islanders will include enhanced psychological support, detailed conversations with cast members about the impact the show could have on their lives plus a ‘proactive aftercare package’ for after stars leave the iconic Spanish villa.

The singletons jetting off to Majorca in the hope of finding love will also receive training on how to manage social media plus support on how to deal with finances.

Creative Director ITV Studios Entertainment Richard Cowles said: ‘The format of the new series will be familiar to Love Island viewers and we can’t wait to see how the new Islanders take to life in the villa and how relationships blossom. We hope that viewers will be hooked as they watch these young singles fall in love – hopefully it will be a summer to remember for both the Islanders and our viewers.

‘Due to the success of the show our Islanders can find themselves in the public eye following their appearance. We really want to make sure they have given real consideration to this and what appearing on TV entails. Discussing all of this with us forms a big part of the casting process and, ultimately, their decision to take part.

‘Also, as we are outlining today our welfare processes follow three key stages: pre-filming, filming and aftercare and we are increasing our post filming support to help Islanders following their time in villa.’

News of the bettered post-show care comes after former Love Island star Mike Thalassitis took his own life earlier this year.

Since the death of the 26-year-old football player, calls have been made for the management of the reality contest to up it’s game in terms of looking after contestant’s mental wellbeing.

Holly Willoughby’s outfit choice on today’s episode of This Morning has divided fans’ opinion.

The blonde TV presenter opted for a pretty floral number with short sleeves but some fashion followers said it made her look old before her time.

The dress, by French designer Claudie Pierlot, was white with red and yellow flowers on it and Holly, 38, teamed it with a pair of nude strappy high-heeled sandals.

But despite Holly’s summery look, some fans were not so keen.

One Instagram user said she looked like ‘a granny’ and that the dress was too costly at £239.

Someone else said she looked ‘school marmish’ and that her Celebrity Juice outfits were more youthful.

However her loyal followers jumped to her defence saying she was ‘stunning’ and ‘so pretty’.

Meanwhile, Holly, a mum of three, and SAS nut Ant Middleton clashed on This Morning over their differing attitudes towards parenting.

Father-of-five Ant had told his 10-year-old son Gabriel that he couldn’t cry at school, much to Holly’s disgust.

Ant said: ‘The other day my son came home from school crying and he said that everyone at school had called him a cry baby.

Holly hit back with: ‘The other way of looking at it would be to tell the other children to stop calling him a cry baby, that would almost be a better way of looking at it.’

Holly is married to producer Daniel Baldwin since 2007 and they share children Belle, Chester and Harry.

Archie's getting some US visitors!

Meghan Markle’s glamorous transatlantic pals are flying in to see baby Archie, it is claimed.

Over the past week or so there has been a stream of royal visitors to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor including Princess Diana’s sister and of course the Queen.

But now it seems Meghan’s friends from her Suits days are keen to get in on the action.

Little Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor was born on May 6 and has only been pictured once – at an official photocall soon after he was born.

Earlier this week Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney was spotted with her five-year-old daughter Ivy at a Canadian airport, about to board a plane to London.

Before that stylist Jessica, 39, posted a picture on Instagram of her little girl with the caption: “Packing for our first Mother/Daughter trip. Are matching shoes too much?”

One fan commented: “I hope you’re heading to London to meet Archie!”

Another said it “will be a very special trip” while yet a third said: “Tell them the Sussex squad army is here to defend them!”

Meghan’s other celebrity pal fashion designer Misha Nonoo is also set to visit, it is believed.

Misha, from New York, is opening a pop up shop in London’s Marylebone area on June 1.

Misha was among the high profile guests at Meghan’s New York baby shower earlier this year, as well as Amal Clooney and Gayle King.

Meanwhile Meghan’s mum Doria, who has been in the UK since before the baby was born, is reportedly back in LA.

Yoga teacher Doria, 62, has returned to her studio in sunny California but Meg and Harry have set aside a suite for her in their new family home.

Baby Archie hasn’t been seen since his debut photo call and it is expected he won’t be shown in public until his christening in a few months.

No godparents have been confirmed yet but rumour has it George Clooney may in the running.

Stylist Jessica Mulroney is in town to visit

Meghan Markle’s best friend and her little girl have been spotted visiting a toy shop within walking distance of Frogmore Cottage.

Stylist Jessica Mulroney was also seen at an airport in Toronto earlier this week waiting to board a plane to London sparking rumours she was planning to visit Meghan, 37, and the new royal baby, Archie.

Jessica, 39, shared a picture of her daughter, Ivy, five, at a shop that eagle-eyed fans are convinced is in Windsor.

Her followers quickly identified the shop as Daniel Department Store – three minutes from Frogmore Cottage.

In the cute snap, Ivy can be seen wearing a pair of pink Converse trainers and a pink bomber jacket.

The caption simply reads: ‘Squirrel’.

One fan wrote: ‘Can I give some more love for Daniel dept store? My fav shopping place in Ldn.’

Referring to baby Archie, another wrote: ‘Have fun shopping and visiting friends with a wee newborn baby!’

Jessica’s husband Ben also posted a picture of the London Eye on his Instagram stories this week – hinting that he was waiting for Jessica to arrive before driving down to Frogmore Cottage.

Former TOWIE babe Chloe Lewis has announced she’s expecting her first baby with banker boyfriend Danny Flasher.

Chloe, 28, shared the happy news on Instagram with a picture of an ultrasound and a cute snap of her and her man cuddling on the beach.

‘Half me, half you,’ she sweetly captioned the shot.

Chloe’s famous friends quickly bombarded the Essex beauty’s comments section with well wishes.

Love Island star Montana Brown wrote, ‘Arrrrrrrrg I’m speechless. Jesus that’s going to be one hot sexy baby! xx

The reveal comes just a few weeks after Chloe admitted she wanted to have kids and get hitched to her hunky boyfriend.

She told the Mail Online, ‘You have to ask [Danny] that! I hope so, I’ve always wanted babies and marriage, so I’m sure it’ll be in the near future.’

After quitting TOWIE earlier this year, Chloe found success in the fashion world when she launched her own swimwear collection with Boohoo.

Speaking about why she decided to leave the long-running ITV show, she added to the publication: ‘I’m really grateful for the show, but I sort of outgrew it. I think when your relationship isn’t on the show, it’s very hard to do both.

‘I just feel like it’s more important to have a happy personal life, so I just made the decision to leave.’
