Celebs are just like us when it comes to the party season and here’s how they cure their sore heads the next day...
The festive party season brings us fun parties, scrumptious canapés and lots of booze. But it also can bring us a sore head the next day. But celebs are no different and not even A listers are immune to the dreaded hangover.
So how do the stars perk up and feel human again? From Khloe Kardashianto Cameron Diaz, here are the best showbiz hangover cures:
Khloe Kardashian’s relaxing yoga
The famous sister has transformed her fitness and diet regime in recent years and she insists exercise is a great way to cure your hangover. She says: ‘The movement from the likes of yoga and Pilates will help to increase blood flow to all parts of your body, but importantly, your liver. The more blood that passes through, the quicker your liver can detoxify the alcohol. The sweating will help to eliminate the toxins through your skin!’
Erm…you might be on your own there Khloe!
Cameron Diaz’s McMuffin
The actress has a cure we can all relate to. She says: ‘I have an Egg McMuffin and a beer. You need to drink more of the alcohol you’ve killed yourself with—the classic hair of the dog.’
The Hollywood star apparently swears by a combination of champagne and carrot juice. Which is what we imagine Bugs Bunny orders when he’s at a cocktail bar.
Prince Harry’s milkshake
The royal has enjoyed a few parties in his time and friends say his go to cure is a strawberry milkshake. We think you’re sweet enough Harry…
Hugh Grant’s spag bowl
We all know carbs are your friend when you’re hungover. And Hugh favours one dish most of all. He says: ‘After a night out on the town, I find a plateful of spaghetti bolognese works wonders for me.’
Kate’s cure is the most British we’ve ever heard. She says: ‘”A sausage and bacon sarnie usually does it for me. I also have a big glass of orange juice and a sugary cup of tea.”
Renee Zellwegger’s fry up
Renee might actually be competition for Kate with her British hangover cure. The Texan says: ‘A full English breakfast is good, or beans on toast. That kind of food does the trick for me.”
Sounds right up Bridget’s street.
Donald Trump became US President, so anything’s possible! Maybe these predictions don’t seem so bizarre after all…
Donald Trump. Brexit. Honey G. The last 365 days will be remembered for being the strangest on record as everything was up for grabs in the showbiz world. So we asked the experts at bookmakers William Hill to give us the odds on some strange – and a few not-so-strange – things occurring in the year ahead…
We’ve chosen the best films, TV shows and music to look forward to in 2017…

Beauty and the Beast - 2017
So you’ve exhausted everything Netflix, caught up with all things necessary on catch-up and got bored of looping the same 13 songs on your 2016 playlist. Now’s the time to look forward to what you’ll be rating over the year ahead.
Must-see TV
No Offence

One of the best dark comedies of recent times returns to Channel 4 in January. The consistently excellent Joanna Scanlan (she also played passive-aggressive press officer Terri Coverley in The Thick Of It) heads up the female-led police comedy-drama created by Shameless writer Paul Abbott. Genuinely one of the greatest things on TV.
Guerilla
Luther’s back! Sort of. But in a different show on a different channel. Idris Elba stars in this political drama set in 1970s London on Sky 1. A pair of activists help to liberate a political prisoner from a radical underground cell and set their sights on bringing down a counter-intelligence unit that’s set up to crush black activism. The brilliant cast also includes Freida Pinto.
Santa Clarita Diet
This dark comedy starring Drew Barrymore hits Netflix on 3 February. It tells the story of two married real estate agents living in Santa Clarita in California with their daughter Abby. Drew’s character Sheila ‘goes through a dramatic change’ but we’ll have to wait until then to find out what. Drew’s described the show as ‘crazy and exciting’ – one to add to your list on Netflix as soon as it drops.
Taboo
You know those pictures that came out last year of Tom Hardy covered in tattoos in a forest, naked as the day he was born? Well, this is the fruit of that labour, which comes to FX on 10 January. The series is set in 1814 and Tom plays James Keziah Delaney, a man who’s travelled the world but comes back to London a changed man. He returns to take over his father’s shipping empire, but the way is paved with conspiracy, murder and betrayal. Which is obviously scary, but at least it’ll be punctuated with some nudity.
Girlboss
Netflix has adapted the amazing real-life story of online selling tycoon Sophia Amoruso. At just 22 years old, she set up her own business Nasty Gal, selling vintage clothes on the internet, and quickly became one of the richest self-made women in the world. Sophie wrote #Girlboss, a bestselling book about empowerment and, er, being a total girl boss. US actress Britt Robertson plays Sophia in the 13-part comedy series.
Let It Shine
Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock (7555594ah) Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue and Martin Kemp ‘Let It Shine’ press launch, Ham Yard Hotel, London, UK – 13 Dec 2016
Gary Barlow couldn’t stay away from talent competitions for long and now he’s got his very own. Let It Shine, on BBC One in January, is searching for five lads to play Take That in a musical version of their story. So it’s in a similar vein to Any Dream Will Do and How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, but with Gaz as an easier-on-the-eye Andrew Lloyd Webber. Gary’s celebrity panel comprises Dannii Minogue, Spandau Ballet dad-hottie Martin Kemp and Glee’s Amber Riley. Best of all, it’s presented by Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc.
Doctor Foster Suranne Jones quite rightly won a ton of awards (including a BAFTA) for her role as Dr Foster in the explosive BBC series and it was one of the channel’s biggest hits of 2016. Season two is set two years after the events of the first and Jodi Comer, who plays Dr Foster’s husband’s other woman Kate, has revealed that this time around things will be shown more from her perspective. It’ll feature the aftermath of the couple’s messy divorce and the weeks and months that follow.
House Of Cards
Traditionally, the US political drama series drops on Netflix in February each year. Will Frank and Claire Underwood wreak havoc in power? If real-life events in US politics are a guide, absolutely anything could happen…
Broadchurch
Mandatory Credit: Photo by ITV/REX/Shutterstock (5824887a) David Tennant and Olivia Colman pictured on their first day on set of the third series of ‘Broadchurch’ TV show, Season 3 – May 2016
The final series of the gripping detective drama will air early in 2017, with David Tennant and Olivia Colman returning as DI Alec Hardy and DS Ellie Miller one last time.
Stranger Things
The standout Netflix hit about a disturbing parallel universe was the must-watch series of 2016 and it’s expected to return in July. The kids from the show, including British actress Millie Bobby Brown, have been everywhere since it dropped. The show’s creators the Duffer Brothers released a mysterious trailer for season two, teasing the episode titles. They say the next 10 episodes are ‘a sequel rather than a second season’. Will Barb finally get justice?
Delicious
Delicious – Series 01 Episode 01 Dawn French as Gina.
The first episode of this new Sky 1 drama starring Dawn French has already aired and it features lashings of love, sex, lies and betrayal – so what’s not to like? Cook Gina (French) and her pal/nemesis Sam (Emilia Fox) have both been betrayed by caddish former husband and husband respectively Leo (who’s played by Game Of Thrones’ Iain Glen). It’s written by Mr Selfridge creator Dan Sefton, so it’s bound to be a massive hit.
Great News Tina Fey’s got a new TV show! She’s executive producer on this comedy, which tells the story of Katie (Briga Heelan), a news producer whose overbearing mother is coming back to work at her station as an intern. Keep an eye out for a UK air date.

A sparky five-piece band from Brighton who’ve been making breezily infectious 80s-tinged indie-pop for the past few years and only recently signed to a label. They’ve already notched up over 9 million streams on Spotify and are set to release their debut album later this year. Their frontwoman Natti Shiner is super-cool.

Alexandra Savior
US singer Alexandra is only 21, but she’s already worked with some of the biggest names in music. She’s written with Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner, including touring with The Last Shadow Puppets, while Alex returned the favour on her new single Mystery Girl, a haunting pop tune. You might recognise her voice from some of the music on True Detective and she’s guested on a Tame Impala track too.

Jorja Smith
British soul singer Jorja, 19, is set to be massive after making the BBC Sound Of 2017 list. Her smooth vocals and clever lyrics have seen her compared to Amy Winehouse. ‘[It’s a] great comparison to have,’ she says. ‘But hopefully the more I do my music, the more people will be like: “Jorja sounds like Jorja.”’

It’s the festival’s last big one until 2019 as those fields need time to recover, so 2017’s festivities are bound to be a hoot. In the frame to headline this year are acts including Foo Fighters, Radiohead, The Stone Roses and Ed Sheeran. Little Mix could also be in with a shout after having the fastest-selling girl band album since the Spice Girls. Please make this happen!
Take That on tour
The evergreen man-band, now comprising Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Gary Barlow, release their eighth album Wonderland and play 21 dates in May and June. It was thought Robbie Williams might join them for the 25th anniversary (!) gigs, but he’s too busy. We’re hopeful.
Adele’s homecoming
Isn’t Adele the greatest? After doing a trillion live shows (well, more than 100) across the world in 2016, she added a few more dates at the end of the year and is ending her tour in style on 28-29 June and 1-2 July with sold-out shows at London’s Wembley Arena. If you were lucky enough to get a ticket, you’ll be in for a real treat.
Lorde
In 2013, you were never more than one song away from hearing Royals on the radio. New Zealander Lorde ruled music back then and she launches Lorde 2.0 on us later in 2017. Since the release of her massive debut Pure Heroine, she’s been lauded as one of the best songwriters of her generation, won countless awards and become bezzers with Taylor Swift. She’s also been slogging her guts out for her second album, saying: ‘I’ve worked like a dog for a year making this thing great for you guys.’ Thanks!
Charli XCX

Understated queen of pop Charli is bringing out her third album in May. It was fanfared by her excellently catchy single After The Afterparty in October – and Charli reckons it’s going to be a total game changer. ‘This album could change the sound of pop music,’ she explains. ‘It’s the album I’ve been trying to make forever. And now I’ve done it. [It’s got] high-octane plastic moments and then more piano ballad situations.’ However, five months is a long time to wait and Charli says she might just ‘get bored and leak the whole thing before then anyway’. That’s fine with us!
The xx
The spine-tinglingly great London threesome are back with I See You, their follow-up to 2012’s Coexist. Romy Madley Croft, Jamie xx and Ollie Sim gave us a taste of things to come with the excellent single On Hold in November. The album’s out on 13 January and it’s been described as ‘more outward-looking, open and expansive’ than their previous releases. But it’s a safe bet it’ll be brilliant and most of the songs will soundtrack every TV show from now until kingdom come.
Drake and Kanye West
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Stewart Cook/REX/Shutterstock (7449730ek) Drake American Music Awards, Show, Los Angeles, USA – 20 Nov 2016
After his alleged falling out with Jay Z, it doesn’t look like Kanye will be embarking on Watch The Throne 2 anytime soon. But Kanye’s going to do a collaboration album with Drake in 2017, which could be the best thing since, er, Watch The Throne. In September, Kanye confirmed the collab, saying: ‘We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio.’ Cool. Two months later, Drake posted a pic of himself and Yeezy on his Instagram, with Kanye’s manager (and Justin Bieber enabler) Scooter Braun commenting: ‘It begins…’ No word on when the album will be out, but fingers crossed it’ll drop before the year is out.
Big-screen blockbusters
Tom Hiddleston rules 2017 Tom has two big films out this year. In Thor: Ragnarok (out 27 October) he reprises his role as Loki, the evil nemesis of Chris Hemsworth’s thunder god Thor. Chris has said he wants to ‘do something unexpected and really mix it up’ in this film, so we’ll see how that goes. Tom’s other blockbuster Kong: Skull Island (out on 10 March) is a reworking of the classic ‘ape goes wild’ tale, but unlike most King Kong films this one is set in the 1970s. A group of adventurers travel to a Pacific Island to explore, unaware of the beast within their midst. Oo-er.
The Downton Abbey movie
Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock (5550487ev) Downton Abbey cast and crew National Television Awards, The O2, London, Britain – 20 Jan 2016
Even though the Dowager Countess – well, Maggie Smith – has pooh-poohed the idea of her appearing in a feature-length special, as her character would be 110, filming is set to being this year. Creator Julian Fellowes reveals: ‘I think it’ll be fun to get everyone together and move it to a larger scale because you have more money to spend.’
Wonder Woman Out 2 June
After appearing in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice in 2016, Wonder Woman finally gets her own film. Gal Gadot again plays the kick-ass Amazon princess, who finds a US pilot washed up on the shore of her island paradise Themyscira. She also discovers she has some pretty rad superpowers, which is nice.
Blade Runner 2049
A sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic was first mooted back in 1999, but it’s finally being released on 6 October. Harrison Ford’s back in the lead role for the dystopian franchise, starring alongside Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright and Jared Leto.
Beauty And The Beast Out 17 March
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Moviestore/REX/Shutterstock (7523690b) Dan Stevens, Emma Watson Beauty and the Beast – 2017
There’s been massive hype for this live-action retelling of the classic tale, with Emma Watson as Belle and Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens (nope, we still haven’t forgiven Julian Fellowes for ruining Christmas 2014) as the Beast. Judging by the trailers, it’s a beautifully lavish production. Emma’s been bringing the story up to date by making sure Belle’s a strong, independent woman, revealing: ‘We created a backstory that she’d invented a kind of washing machine so instead of doing laundry she could use that time to read. So yeah, we made Belle an inventor.’ Emma also refused to wear a corset for the role, insisting it would restrict her movement too much.
Spider-Man: Homecoming
The friendly neighbourhood arachnid gets another reboot on 7 July, with 20- year-old British actor Tom Holland in the title role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. We. Can’t. Wait!
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 Out 28 April
Unofficially known as ‘the film Chris Pratt got buff for’, the first Guardians Of The Galaxy movie was a huge box-office hit, raking in over £500 million. Now the gang (including Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel as living tree creature Groot) are back in cinemas this spring. The sequel is set two months after the end of the original and finds the oddball intergalactic crew travelling through the cosmos as half- human/half-alien Peter Quill (Pratt) tries to track down his estranged father after he was abducted and raised by a band of smugglers.
Star Wars: Episode VIII Out 15 December
Star Wars fans will be partially sated by the recent release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but the second ‘new’ Star Wars film hits cinemas in December as the follow-up to 2015’s The Force Awakens. Details of the plot are a closely guarded secret, but it’s been revealed that Episode VIII will pick up right after the end of The Force Awakens, when Rey (Daisy Ridley) met Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) on a remote island. Excitingly, Benicio Del Toro joins the cast as a baddie.
Fifty Shades Darker Out 10 February
Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock (4430780bj) Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film premiere, London, Britain – 12 Feb 2015
The second Fifty Shades film is released in time for Valentine’s Day. What better way to spend the year’s most romantic date than watching what many feel is a fairly questionable erotic fiction adaptation? But fans don’t care about your literary snobbery and will no doubt swarm to see Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.
2017 is going to be a big year! Find out what is in store for you, according to your star sign!
It’s a brand spankin’ new year, and we wouldn’t much mind knowing EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN THIS YEAR AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT. LIKE, RIGHT THIS SECOND. PLEASE.
So luckily for us impatient lot, we’ve had Kim Kardashian examine the planetary alignment in order to bring us our 2017 horoscopes!
Okay, that’s a lie- Kim‘s way too busy prancing about in her underwear for any type of astronomy. We did, however, have Now’s professional astrologer, David Wells, have a lil’ look at what 2017 has in store for us. Check out his 2016 horoscope readings below!
Capricorn (22nd December- 20th January)
Kate turns 35 on 9th January
Relationships
The end of June, beginning of July could be your best months for making sure a relationship is where you want it to be, as this is when that question is asked by you or of you. If you’re looking for romance, it’s not high on the planets’ list, but don’t despair. That means single Capricorns have less interference from the scriptwriters.
Career & Finances
Until October, push harder with any career options that come your way, but double that for any that don’t. This is your year to make big changes, so send out unsolicited applications, network, say: ‘Hi, Facebook’, and stalk those companies you want to be working for. Money is overrated, isn’t it? Only because you’ve got this one sorted.
Family & Friends
You might need a tin hat and some extra padding as life continues to push you into dramas with the kids, in-laws, builders, plumbers and anyone else who walks into your home. Spring is tricky, Capricorn, but there you have it – truth. Another truth is you can deal with it.
Main Focus
Family, but that’s ongoing and it’s coming to a close. Next year you’re out of that cycle. This year, focus on something or someone from your past. It’s time to let go and move on.
Aquarius (21st January- 19th February)
Jen turns 48 on 11 Feb
Relationships
Time to turn up the heat on this relationship thing, Aquarius – or are you just going to talk about it? Things have been stilted, with awkward separations and misunderstandings that shouldn’t have happened. Is this a year of direct action? May and June are good months; use them or lose them.
Career & Finances
Are you taking up your boss’s recommendation and signing up for night classes? Or maybe you’ve told them all to forget it, you’re off to Australia for six months? Get experience and listen to the masters of your craft, as late October sees you launched into your best career year for over a decade. Money? Lose the illusions; get real.
Family & Friends
If it’s something you’d love to see your children do, then you’re going to encourage them, but what happens if you’re at odds with their desires? In May, be careful that you still encourage them. They’ll listen to you more than if you disagree. Mates finally agree with you and vote you in as team leader; Friday quiz night?
Main Focus
Find a way to discover who you are and what you want through travel, if you can. Then there’s money; take a reality check and write yourself a new one.
Pisces (20th February- 20th March)
Rihanna turns 29 on 20 February.
Relationships
Last year was a tough one for you, Pisces, but that opposition from Jupiter has gone for many more years, so now things settle. You’re making good use of Venus in your sign as the year begins. Mars alongside him could bring passion that lasts way longer than you thought. True love?
Career & Finances
As Saturn completes his cycle in your career sky, you can make good use of any shake-ups he’s encouraged and begin to sign those contracts, go freelance or even work for yourself? Money’s still volatile; it responds to tight controls, but be consistent.
Family & Friends
Not the busiest of places but as the year begins, Mercury offers challenges with someone older. No matter what comes your way, decisions will be made quickly; exactly what’s needed. Friends aren’t very vocal this year; they’ll give opinions when asked, but you must ask. Concentrate on bringing peace to your home daily.
Main Focus
Yourself! Get your health and wellbeing in order, Pisces. Put yourself high on the list; in fact, top of it would be a better idea. Your professional life is truly where you shine, but be fit and healthy enough to do it justice.
Aries (21st March- 20th April)
VB turns 43 on 17 April
Relationships
As this year begins, you may be considering what love means to you, Aries. What do you want from it? Perhaps the answer to that is not what you have now. Seems simplistic, but change is on its way.
Career & Finances
The coming year sees greater change for your finances due to some big events in your career sky. Saturn is now in his own home and you’ll enter one of the most incredible work times for 30 years. Build towards getting those qualifications you always said you would.
Family & Friends
This isn’t a place of power for you. There’ll be the usual ups and downs of family life, and the Moon – as governess of this part of your chart – offers some emotional moments. The eclipses on 11 February and 7 August will reveal something that needs fixing.
Main Focus
Continue to use surprising events to bring change, which is offering you the chance to achieve your goals.
Taurus (21st April- 21st May)
Adele turns 29 on 5 May
Relationships
October may seem a long way away, but it isn’t where Jupiter is concerned and he’s prepared to wait to bring someone back into your life. If you’re already in a relationship, it could be a year when you choose to renew your vows or make plans for a big romantic trip.
Career & Finances
The busiest time for your professional life is late January, early February. What you push out for then could be the launch pad for the rest of your year. Your career planet Uranus makes eyes at your own sign this year, so time to concentrate on what’s holding you back professionally.
Family & Friends
There could be upsets around 26 February and again on 21 August as solar eclipses exert their energy. Use these change points wisely. See the benefits of tough choices, Taurus, and be ready to make them; they’ll be worth it.
Main Focus
From mid-October, all things relationship work well for you – and not just your love life. Perhaps this is a year for starting that business?
Gemini (22nd May- 20th June)
Michelle Keegan turns 30 on 3rd June
Relationships
A period of continued growth, with Saturn and Jupiter pushing for single sorts to find someone special. Indeed, you should take advantage of social boosts in
the early months of 2017. If you’re attached, a strong year brings tests but they serve to bring you and your other half closer.
Career & Finances
Neptune continues in his quest to help you shine bright, with January starting as you wanted. All those promises people made in 2016 finally get acted on and the calls come in. Financially, you must ask for what you’re worth, Gemini. Don’t assume you’re being given the best deal; be a master negotiator.
Family & Friends
If you have kids, they’re likely to do well at school this year and, with your support, they could set the foundations for career choices earlier than you might think. Mates play a big part this year, Gemini; listening to their advice will be very useful.
Main Focus
Get emotionally involved with work – make it what you want to do and if it’s not, why are you doing it? Focus on your joy and others will want to be a part of it.
Cancer (21st June- 22nd July)
Cheryl turns 34 on 30 June
Relationships
Pluto’s continued presence is always going to be a challenge, but this little-big planet is one that offers transformation. You’re straight into it, Cancer, with deep, meaningful conversations that will become the norm. Single? Someone special enters your life this year.
Career & Finances
Don’t put things off with the usual excuses. In fact, if something seems hard, that may be exactly where you need to be. Springtime is when you blossom professionally and money could flow from it. Finances do best in August.
Family & Friends
Until October, you’re balancing family with work commitments, but friends will help if you ask. There could be a move in September to somewhere bigger. Working from home may be an option this year.
Main Focus
It’s home and family. Later in the year there could be an addition to the clan; your family’s increasing in size.
Leo (23rd July- 22nd August)
Jennifer Lawrence turns 27 on 15 August
Relationships
The stakes are very high this year, Leo. You’re playing for someone’s affections – and you have some competition. Will you win? If you take part, you will. If you’re in a relationship, fun is the key to keeping it on track .
Career & Finances
Your career ruler Venus is moving in reverse this year. A rare event, she’s putting pressure on you to see if what you do now is what you really want. In the spring you’ll have to answer that, as an amazing opportunity is yours to say yea or nay to. Finances may go astray in January and February.
Family & Friends
You’re heading for major growth on the family front this year, as you talk your other half into that bigger home – or maybe it’s a bigger garden so you can play on a swing? It’s most likely to be towards the end of the year before you see it, but it’s worth waiting for. Mates are very bossy, but they point out love and work opportunities, so listen up.
Main Focus
Reducing your debts would be a really good idea in 2017, so try to find ways to make that happen. However, a surprising amount of your energy could go on overseas projects,
be that holidays or even emigration.
Virgo (23rd August- 22nd September)
Beyonce turn 36 on 4 September
Relationship
Neptune in your relationship sky and Pluto in your new love sky pretty much guarantee it won’t be boring! Single or attached, it’s about romance, Virgo; but it’s not about planning for
it, it’s about following your heart and making some mistakes along the way. But all so very worth it. Amazing.
Career & Finances
You may talk a good game, but career’s not high on the list. You’re not that concerned about making a move, unless it’s a promotion with good money. Finances are a big event for you and rightly so. Here’s a once-every- 12-years opportunity to make money, but some of it could be through luck.
Family & Friends
Your final year with Saturn demanding you restructure your home or offering challenging behaviour from older members of the family. Don’t assume it’s going to be the same as last year; it’s more likely to be building on changes that have already occurred.
Main Focus
Relationships and money. Both are finding their stride, and with your home life settling, it seems like magic. All your hard work is finally paying off.
Libra (23rd September- 22nd October)
Kim Kardashian turns 37 on October 21st
Relationships
For several years now, things have been unpredictable due to the volatility of Uranus in your relationship sky. He’s in his last full year – hooray! – so now he shows you what amazing things you’ve learnt and, with Saturn’s help, settles single and attached Librans on a steadier course.
Career & Finances
As the opportunistic Jupiter leaves your sign in October, he moves into your money sky and so begins a year of financial bonuses. Some come as a gift, but working for it pays you back tenfold. Professionally, it’s all about where you are now and great things come along as early as January.
Family & Friends
Where you live and who with is undergoing major change, the sort that sees you settling in where you are after feeling restless, accepting a new house to make it feel more like home. The same may apply with family or friends; a disagreement takes longer to resolve than you thought.
Main Focus
Relationships and your daily working life need your attention, and if you respond to sudden changes in a measured way, you’ll find what used to be a drama is a drama no more. It’s a chance for new beginnings.
Scorpio (23rd October- 22nd November)
Katy Perry turns 33 on October 25
Relationships
The year begins with a flurry of activity in your true love sky and single Scorpios have lots of conversations to have. If you’re attached, it’s a year when you could find some tough talking
of your own occurring in spring. Be honest.
Career & Finances
Having the Sun as your career planet serves up an ever-changing picture, Scorpio, but take care around 21 August when a major deal is on the table. Make sure you get any offers in writing and keep your loved ones informed or dramas could occur. Money issues are once more to the fore; change how you work with it for the better.
Family & Friends
Friends could introduce you to the love of your life, so say yes to social invitations. Even if you’re not looking for love, new friendships could be yours. Family and domestic matters aren’t the busiest they’ve been, but look at what happens in February as a chance to finally get the house you wanted.
Main Focus
Jupiter is in your sign in October, so until then you may feel you’re preparing for bigger things in your life – and you’d be right! The year he’s with you, late 2017 into 2018, is
your golden year.
Sagittarius (23rd November- 21st December)
Taylor Swift turns 27 on December 13
Relationships
Sometimes the greatest resistance to a new relationship is ourselves. We either can’t be bothered or perhaps it seems like it’s never going to happen, therefore that’s the vibe we live in. In March, you could find someone breaks through any barriers you put up. Love finds a way.
Career & Finances

Both viewers AND the stars of the show are devastated by this
Ronnie Mitchell and Roxy Mitchell EastEnders, 1 January 2017
EastEnders has had its fair share of dramatic exits over the years – but its latest double farewell could be its most controversial yet.
Fan favourites Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell, played by Samantha Womack and Rita Simons, appeared in their final scenes in an hour-long New Year’s Day episode which *SPOILER ALERT* saw them drunkenly drown in a swimming pool after Ronnie’s wedding day.
But the haunting last moments for the popular pair haven’t gone down well with many viewers.
In fact some have even called for the soap’s bosses to be AXED over the decision to kill off the sisters.
One angry watcher Tweeted of the exit footage: ‘that was pathetic, sack all of your writers’
‘what a rubbish death… forget about sacking all these actors sack the writer,’ another wrote, whilst one said of the disturbing scenes: ‘absolutely appalled with tonight’s episode. Shown before watershed. Terrible on the part of the BBC and the producer!!!!’
Yikes. Others made comments including ‘You’ve made me feel sick emotionally’ and ‘what an awful end to the Mitchell sisters’.
It’s not just fans of the soap who’ve been left devastated by the chilling exit for Ronnie and Roxy, who first appeared on the show back in 2007.
The actresses themselves are also pretty distraught, with Samantha Tweeting following the episode: ‘I’m sorry I can’t respond to any comments..I’m honestly broken. An appropriate end to the darkest year ever.@OfficialRita @RealScottMaslen’

The Geordie Shore star's tribute hasn't gone down well
Chloe Ferry poses for Instagram photo, December 2016
Chloe Ferry has faced a huge backlash from social media users after sharing an intimate photo with her late grandmother.
The Geordie Shore star announced her nan had passed away on Sunday by posting a photo of her lying in a hospital bed looking very unwell with an oxygen mask over her mouth.
Chloe, 21, is seen giving a small smile as she sits next to her elderly relative in the photo, which she captioned: ‘Rip nanna love you so much! Never forgotten’
This tribute didn’t go down well with many though, with some Twitter users even speculating that her nan could have been dead in the picture.
‘I’d never heard of @Chloe_GShore before tonight? But this is her tweeting a smiling pic with a dead relative.Im lost for words……,’ one shocked observer Tweeted, whilst another said: ‘this is a sickening pic..no dignity for her nan at all…’
Meanwhile one posted: ‘it’s horrible who the f*** takes a picture like that’
Chloe was quick to delete the controversial shot shortly after the backlash began.
This hasn’t stopped the comments from rolling in though, with Twitter users calling the Newcastle lass ‘disrespectful’, ‘vile’ and ‘sick’.
Others have accused her of sharing the picture for attention, with one writing: ‘Is this what fame hungry minor celebrities have come to’
Some fans have defended Chloe in the row though and have sent their sympathies to her following her loss.
‘I saw the picture you tweeted today, all I saw was someone who cares very much about their grandmother,’ one Tweeted, and another wrote: ‘disgusting that you felt the need to take that special pic down because of the trolls. Thinking of you and your family’
It’s also been pointed out by some that Chloe’s nan may be sleeping in the photo.
The reality star hasn’t commented on the fallout as of yet.
Olivia, 23, first showed off her rock in a selfie with Alex, 25, when they shared their happy news over the weekend, writing on Instagram: ‘I have no words for how happy I am. My fiancé my everything @ab_bowen this was magical. So magical.’

Despite the pair’s engagement, many fans were distracted by the fact that Olivia’s ring appeared to be on the wrong hand.
‘Is it just me or is that ring on her right hand?!’ one follower commented. Another remark read: ‘Wrong finger!!’
However, it’s been pointed out by many fans that the blonde star most likely has the gem on her left hand and that it just appears to be on the other due to a front camera selfie making it look the opposite way.
Olivia looks to have finally had enough of the comments though and hit out at people for questioning how she wears her bling on Twitter.
‘People messaging me like you do know your meant to wear your ring on the left hand,’ the reality star wrote. ‘When did everyone get so dumb? Like. Please god help you’
People messaging me like you do know your meant to wear your ring on the left hand. When did everyone get so dumb? Like. Please god help you
That’ll tell ‘em, Liv! Fans have supported her in the row, with one commenting: ‘How many times do you have to tell them,it’s a bloody mirror image. That’s what happens when u take a selfie’
Olivia has continued to clarify that her ring’s on the correct finger by explaining this in her latest selfie.
‘When does this sink in,’ she posted alongside a snap of herself modelling the rock. ‘Last night was the most amazing thing ❤️ this is a selfie it is on my left hand haha ❤️’
Katie Price on ITV's Loose Women, London 23 December 2016
Katie Pricemight be known for speaking her mind but it looks like she doesn’t necessarily share everything with the world…
The glamour model has sparked concern amongst her Instagram followers by sharing a series of uncharacteristic messages hinting that she’s faced some private struggles of late.
This was followed by another emotional quote saying: ‘Sometimes things have to go very wrong before they can be right.’
Katie, 38, also shared messages about ‘difficult times’ and giving to people who ‘will not do the same for you’.
The mum-of-five kept everyone guessing about the meaning of her posting spree by not including any captions with her images and it’s left many of her followers a bit worried about her.
‘Are you ok my lovely lady? This is not like you…,’ one asked, whilst another wrote: ‘This really made me sad! Hope and pray everything’s ok- look after you and your beautiful children!’
Meanwhile one said: ‘Hope your ok??? Never thought you would put any of these things on here not like you’
Katie ended her string of cryptic quotes with a post reading: ‘Don’t talk, just act. Don’t say, just show. Don’t promise, just prove.’
She then seemed to put any concerns about her marriage to Kieran Hayler to rest by adding a caption about their plans for 2017.
‘New year new start 🤗 I have a amazing husband and children , time to start a year with myself being totally healthy happy ambitious hobbies and new me,’ Katie posted.

The Loose Women star could be referring to her recent revelation that she’s intending to give up booze for the next 12 months following some well-publicised drunken outings.
‘I said I was going to do dry January,’ she explained last month. ‘Well I’m not going to drink for the whole year.
‘I’m going to prove you all wrong. What difference is one year out of my life, to be healthy and just try and see what it’s like?’
Here’s hoping the next year is a good one for you and yours, Katie!
They're fluffy, they're famous and we're HUGE fans
At Christmas time there’s nothing better than spending time with our loved ones – and we’re not just talking about humans here.
Yep, for many of us it’s a season where we’ll be hanging out with our beloved pets and spoiling them with festive treats, embarrassing antler ears and much more. *feels all warm and cosy inside*
This totally applies to lots of our favourite animal-loving celebrities too; after all, some of them have such awesome fur babies that they’re actually our main reason for following said star on Insta.
Amidst the frequent doom and gloom of 2016 it’s been fun to see these famous pets take over social media with their cute antics – but just which star creature has proved the most pawsome of them all?
We’ve rounded up some of our favourite celebrity pets to try and decide. It’s a tough job indulging in all this cuteness but, y’know, it’s got to be done…
Caroline Flack’s cat Waffle
Anyone that follows Flackers will know that her Scottish Fold cat Waffle is a STAR. He’s regularly seen popping up around her home in all sorts of unconventional positions and places, and has a freakishly human-like sitting pose.
In fact Waffle’s antics have even sparked comments such as ‘Is this cat for real???’. Oh he’s real alright – so real that he’s even on Money Management’s books just like mum Caroline.

The fact that Lewis missed out on the championship this year hasn’t stopped the pooches from enjoying themselves – over the course of 2016 they’ve been snapped flying on private jets, modelling quirky outfits and generally living the life. They’ve even got their own account with 104,000 followers.
The rescue dog is her best pal and they do EVERYTHING together. Like Roscoe and Coco, Finn has his very own page where he does stuff like try funny clothes on, take selfies with Amanda and hang out with pup pals.
So it’s been a pretty busy year for Taylor – involving tours, Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston romances and lots of squad activities – but for us the highlight has been seeing her Scottish Fold cats Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson do LOLS stuff on Insta.
Well with such an A-list family this pooch was always going to be a social media star. Olive started showing us what a refined dog she is earlier this year by posting a VERY fancy shot in a snazzy jacket and posing for arty pictures with Brooklyn.

She’s also proved she’s a supportive soul by getting on Cruz’s newly-launched Instagram following the release of his debut single – this pup knows an opportunity to get spotted when she sees it.
PigGrimshaw has long been one of our favourite things about Insta and then her dad Nick went and upped the cuteness this summer by adopting little Stinky Baby from Battersea Dogs Home. These two alone are adorable enough but as a duo they’ve reached a level of sweetness that rivals even the cutest of Insta pets.

So who’s the most purrfect or woof-erly (sorry, we’ll stop now) of them all? Okay, we’ll admit it – we TOTALLY can’t call it because they’re all so almost dangerously adorable.
Which is your favourite pet star of 2016? Let us know!
These two have been through a lot - but it's made them stronger

Emma Willis has been on our screens so much over the past few years, that most of us can’t help feeling as if we know her a little bit like a friend.
Funny and personable, the Celebrity Big Brother host seems to have a very happy life with Busted hubby Matt Willis and their three children.
However, she’s now revealed that there’s a dark truth at the foundations of their relationship – and has spoken on how they managed to make it through the other side.
Emma, 40, and 33-year-old Matt have been married since 2008, and have often cut a very pretty picture of unity in public appearances. However, at the start of their relationship, singer Matt was dealing with issues relating to alcohol and weed usage that put a pretty hefty strain on things.
And in a recent chat, Emma discussed what the hardest part about him dealing with those addictions were for her: ‘The unknown. Not knowing whether he could do it. And not knowing if he’d come home.’
‘That was the worst thing,’ she told Cosmopolitan magazine frankly, before admitting that there were times when she’d be afraid enough to think the worst would happen.
‘I always thought that there would be a pretty horrific phone call, but thankfully there wasn’t… it’s taught him who’s boss.
‘It’s just another layer of something you go through. Lots of people don’t have that layer, but we do. The only thing I can compare it to is Matt saying that the minute he saw me give birth, it changed everything.’
Thankfully, they managed to make it through that struggle and stick it out – as they’re now one of everyone’s favourite showbiz couples, giving us cuteness such as them snuggling up at Lapland for pre-Christmas celebrations:
A photo posted by Emma Willis (@emmawillisofficial) on
When asked how they managed to make it work, Emma explained a very simple explanation:
‘We like each other,’ says Emma. ‘We have a lot of fun and neither of us thinks of ourselves as grown-ups. We’re also both working class people who are like, “Sh*t, this is good, we’ve done alright.”
The MTV regular suffered a tragic ectopic pregnancy back in March, and then had to watch on/off boyfriend, Gaz Beadle get on a little too well with his co-stars on Ex On The Beach which led her to dramatically quit Geordie Shore for good.
With such a difficult few months to deal with, it’s no wonder the 26-year-old has branded it her worst year yet, telling Heat magazine: ‘It was definitely the most traumatic year of my life so far.’
Aww.
But ever the optimist, Charlotte admits her public split with Gaz has made her ready to tackle whatever 2017 has to chuck at her, adding: ‘It’s been a learning curve, but so much has happened that it’s made me stronger.
‘I’ve learnt that I can cope with so much more than I ever thought I could. It’s made me realise I should never have to put up with c**p, and it’s made me know my own worth.’
Too right.
After splitting up with Gary back in the summer, the star has had a few brief relationships with the likes of model, Ash Harrison and even appeared on Celebs Go Dating in her quest to find love, but has been unsuccessful so far.
Speaking about her love life, Charlotte explained: ‘If they make time for you to be in their life that’s a sign of a good person. If they send you flowers…’ before she joked of her ex: ‘Oh, no that’s not true – Gary once sent me flowers!’
LOL.
She added: ‘I think them really prioritising you is one of the main signs. If, on a Monday, they’re already planning the weekend with you, that’s a sign that someone wants you to be around.’
Let’s hope 2017 is a good one for this Geordie lass!

X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson must have received of a number of odd work invites in her career, but a gig at Donald Trump’s inauguration may be the strangest…
While President Barack Obama’s re-inauguration in 2012 drew the likes of Beyoncé to perform, the president-elect and reality star is having a significantly more difficult time securing talent for his upcoming ceremony – with only days to go, he has only confirmed one artist (16-year-old America’s Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho) to help him celebrate.
Until, perhaps, now – as it appears that his team have reached out to British singer Rebecca, who has agreed to do the job under one strict condition…
Taking to Twitter on Monday (2nd January), the soulful-voiced X Factor 2010 runner-up revealed that she’d received a proposition from the Trump team to sing at the event in Washington DC on Friday 20th January.
However, she’ll only do it if she’s allowed to sing the Billie Holiday classic Strange Fruit – a haunting protest track that makes reference to horrific, racist lynchings of Black people during the early 20th century in some Southern states.
‘I’ve been asked and this is my answer,’ she wrote in an extended message to the team. ‘If you allow me to sing “strange fruit” a song that has huge historical importance, a song that was blacklisted in the United States for being too controversial. A song that speaks to all the disregarded and down trodden black people in the United States.
‘A song that is a reminder of how love is the only thing that will conquer all the hatred in this world, then I will graciously accept your invitation and see you in Washington. Best Rebecca X’
Sample lyrics of the song include: ‘Southern trees bear strange fruit / Blood on the leaves and blood at the root / Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze /Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees.’
And with former The Apprentice US boss Trump being one of the most controversial figures to take office in modern years, performing the track would serve as a pretty impressive protest and tribute to millions who aren’t too excited for his presidential term.
So as it happens, we don’t think Rebecca will be performing at the ceremony after all. Trump’s search for a singer… continues.

Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt
3rd Annual Reality TV awards, Los Angeles, America - 13 May 2015
As two of Celebrity Big Brother’s most troublesome and divisive housemates to have ever appeared on our screens, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are names that not many are surprised to see back for the latest series.
With its ‘All Stars vs New Stars’ special theme for this Winter 2017 run of the show, CBB would hardly be complete without some classic villains – and Speidi are just the ticket. However, reports have emerged that the married couple’s heavily rumoured return was nearly over before it started, as they threatened to ‘quit’ the show if producers didn’t meet one of their demands… regular supplies of fish and chips.
Former The Hills stars Heidi, 30, and Spencer, 33, wreaked havoc back in the 2013 Winter series, and less than 24 hours before they’re slated to walk back into the house, they’ve allegedly put their foot down with this demand for the quintessentially British meal at regular intervals.
A source tells Daily Star: ‘We’re hours away from launch and now Speidi have thrown a spanner in the works.
‘They’re clearly up to their old tricks again.’
Bizarre? Barely, for these two.
Since their first stint on the show, in which they were just beaten in 2nd place by rival Rylan Clark-Neal, Speidi have been courting their reputation as comic villains with appearances on TV shows Celebrity Wife Swap and Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.
And we’re guessing they’ve not stopped munching on plates of battered cod ever since falling for the meal after CBB, with Spencer admitting in 2013:
‘We can’t get enough of your fish and chips. That’s all we’ve been ordering after we finished Big Brother and moved into the Dorchester Hotel.’
Peter Andre just scored some MAJOR husband points...
Peter Andre and Emily Macdonagh show off Emily's baby bump in Instagram video, 4 October 2016
Peter Andre is already a pro at being a doting husband and dad, but after he and Emily welcomed son Theo in November, Pete has admitted he’s scored some bonus husband points too.
‘How?’ We hear you ask? By treating his wife to a diamond-encrusted watch that’s how.
Forget Christmas treats; Pete – who also has a daughter Amelia with Emily – bought his wife a diamond-encrusted Gucci watch as a ‘push-present’ for having their new son.
‘I wanted to buy Emily a present for giving me out beautiful son, so I bought her a diamond-encrusted Gucci watch. When I gave it to her, I told her, “You better love me know!”‘ he joked.
See, we told you it was MAJOR husband points. Bravo Pete.
The pair – who got married in July 2015 – welcomed their second child, son Theodore, in November.
Unlike her first birth with Amelia, Emily had to have a Caesarean three weeks before her due date with this delivery as the baby was breech.
‘She’s recovering well but still can’t do things like lift Mills,’ Peter wrote in his column in New!
But he also confessed it’s been hard for their daughter to adjust to having another little on in the house.
‘I’ve had to take on a much more prominent role at the moment with [Amelia],’ Pete confessed. ‘She understands why Mummy has to spend more time with Theo but she gets upset sometimes. She’s been walking up a few times in the night and thats been difficult, but this comes with the territory, so bring it on…’
Ahh, sounds like you already have it nailed, Pete!
Pete is also dad to Junior and Princess who he had with first wife, Katie Price. Although they spent Christmas with their mum, the pair joined Emily and Pete for New Year celebrations in Somerset where they enjoyed an Hawaiian themed party…
All Stars vs. New Stars is set to be the most dramatic yet
The time has almost come for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother and WE. CAN’T. WAIT.
Not only will there be a whole host of new faces, but a load of old CBB favourites will ALSO be heading back into the house (are they mad?!) in an All Stars vs. New Stars extravaganza.
Although CBB bosses have kept tight-lipped on the line-up so far, rumours have been rife and some stars have even been caught checking into a top-secret (or not so top-secret) hotel ahead of tonights launch (Tuesday 3rd January).
And to say it’s going to be a dramatic few weeks is an understatement if THESE fiery celebs are getting themselves ready to move into the Big Brother house.
Eeek…
Nicola McLean
The former glamour model could be about to take her place as an ‘all star’ after appearing on the show way back in 2008. This fiery lady previously got into a rather heated spat with fellow reality star, Katie Price. So this could get awkward…
Katie Price
Yup. The Pricey is back (well, maybe). A teaser clip posted on CBB’s Twitter account features the silhouette of a woman candidly talking about internet trolls and her marriage – which has left fans CONVINCED Katie is up for round two. And she’s not the only Loose Woman…
Coleen Nolan
Our hearts went out to daytime telly presenter, Coleen after the 51-year-old opened up about her marriage troubles with Ray Fensome. But a break could be exactly what the pair need as an insider recently told The Daily Star Coleen is ‘very much on board’ with joining the show!
Stevi Ritchie
The X-Factor singer previously entered the house in 2015 with former fiancée Chloe-Jasmine and the pair weren’t shy of a little bit of PDA… But this time the reality pro could be flying solo after he dramatically split with Chloe in October. Eeek.
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag
One pair that are definitely still together are the couple everyone just loves to hate. Apparently Speidi only flew into London on New Year’s Day and have already found themselves in the midst of a spat (they haven’t even got through the door?!) after a certain housemate revealed he ‘hated’ the controversial duo, which brings us to…
Austin Armacost
After his bromance with winner James Hill during the 2015 series of CBB, Marc Jacobs model, Austin is reportedly back. But don’t be fooled by his squeaky, clean appearance, the 28-year-old isn’t holding back as he recently told The Sun: ‘Speidi were a disaster. I hate them – as everyone in America does.’ Awks…
Calum Best
As if one model wasn’t enough, reality hunk Calum might also be heading into the mad-house for the second time after coming in third place in 2015. After two years away, maybe the star could be ready to do it all over again?
Bianca Gascoigne
One lady that Calum might be happy to see is Bianca, after the pair won Celebrity Love Island as a couple back in 2006 – rumour has it CBB bosses are keen for them to rekindle their romance. And as the daughter of Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne, Bianca is no stranger to the limelight so maybe she’s about to add CBB to her extensive reality CV?
Brandon Block
According to reports, the 90s DJ who once admitted to spending over £2,000 on his former cocaine addiction, will also be joining the stars of CBB. A source has revealed the former partying pro is ‘well up for’ the challenge. We hope he knows what he’s getting himself into…
Ray J
After Kim Kardashian’s BFF Jonathan Cheban entered the house (for a brief moment) last year, now it’s her ex-boyfriend, Ray J who could be joining the show. The singer famously co-starred with the reality TV queen in her infamous sex tape, so we’re not sure she’s going to be too happy if he starts spilling the beans on their relationship…
Jamie O’Hara
As a former pro footballer and Danielle Lloyd’s ex-husband, Jamie is no stranger to media attention. But as the couple aren’t on the best terms at the moment (to say the least) Danielle is reportedly a little worried about what the 30-year-old might reveal.
Jasmine Waltz
This feisty lady got rather cosy with two of her housemates before embarking on a VERY brief romance with Blue singer, Lee Ryan when she appeared on the show in 2012. So we can be sure expect a lot more drama if Jasmine returns this year…
Danielle Armstrong
After her break-up with on/off boyfriend James Lock, could THIS be the real reason Danielle dramatically quit TOWIE a few weeks ago? A little time away from Essex could be exactly what this reality star needs to get over her heartbreak.
There are some cities in this world that are tougher to live in than others – and along with New York, many would consider London to be one of them.
Sadly for Scarlett Moffatt, she’s learning something of this at the moment, as she’s admitted to a LOT of trouble with her new flat down South – one being no central heating!
The reigning I’m A Celebrity champ and Gogglebox star moved from her home in County Durham to London with boyfriend Luke Crodden just before the Christmas period. However, it seems as if the living space is not proving as enjoyable as the company, as she claims that they’ve been left without heating and refrigeration options.
Writing in frustration to her 501,000 followers, the 26-year-old said on Tuesday (3rd January):
‘Takes a lot to get me upset but this flat has done it. No heating, still no fridge freezer that works, attitude every time we call #help’
Takes a lot to get me upset but this flat has done it. No heating, still no fridge or freezer that works, attitude every time we call #help
Tough times! She initially spoke of her disappointment with her housing arrangements right before the New Year, Tweeting on 31st December: ‘When you move into a flat and the heating doesn’t work, fridge and freezer doesn’t work & the letting agents say they cnt help you’, with a crying with laughter emoji.
When you move into a flat and the heating doesn't work, fridge and freezer doesn't work & the letting agents say they cnt help you
However, it seems as if her humorous outlook on it has soured after three more days of disappointment.
Her fans flooded in with support, with some telling her their own experiences with hellish living situations, while some simply expressed the all-knowing: ‘Welcome To London!’
Not the nicest way to kick off 2017. However, it’s not all doom and gloom for the popular TV star, as she’s just released her workout DVD to much fan acclaim – and it’s already a bestseller on Amazon!
Here’s hoping the home issues get sorted out soon…
