Over the festive period, we very sadly lost another of our great musical icons.
In incredibly sad news, it had been announced on Christmas day that the great George Michael had passed away aged 53. According to the press release, the icon had ‘passed away peacefully’.
The release states, ‘It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period. The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage’.
Although death of the WHAM star is currently considered to be unexplained, the statement also stated that it is being treated as ‘not suspicious’.
Since the incredibly sad news broke, many fans have taken to social media to share their respects for the Last Christmas singer- with many sharing the first EVER of Jame Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, which starred George Micheal!
The pair had buddied up for charity, jumping into James’ drive for a sing song in the name of Red Nose Day- which had, incidentally, become the very first in James’ franchise of infamous Carpool Karaoke’s.
The skit saw James in-character as his Gavin and Stacey star Smithy, as the pair cruised around singing some of George’s greatest hits.
Not only is the clip an absolutely fabulous tribute to George’s glittering career, but it is also pretty darn hilarious- with the boys donning matching (and very questionable) tracksuits.
Since the tragic news, tributes to the star have been pouring in from Celeb-world.

However, sources close to the family have actually alluded to Kim’s ring ditch being down to the status of her relationship with husband of almost three years.
According to The Sun, the marriage is ‘as good as over’, with Kanye absent for the majority of the event under Kim’s instructions.
The source continued, ‘She didn’t want Kanye at her mum’s Christmas bash this year, as she felt it was the first time she could really let her hair down’, adding ‘But he made a late show and spent the last hour just sitting on the couch talking to Scott Disick [dad of Kourtney’s kids] — he was a total wallflower’.
The report then added, ‘Neither of them are in a happy place right now… The only thing that might keep them together is the kids’.

In this world, very few things contain more glitter, sequins and jazz hands that Strictly Come Dancing. This is except for, of course, the Christmas special of Strictly Come Dancing.
Yup, we’re talking more sequins per square foot of the ballroom dance-floor than is humanly possible to imagine. And why? Because CHRISTMAS, that’s why.
And so, as we’re sure many of you are aware, this years Strictly festivities were as sparky as ever- with many of this seasons ballroom favourites waltzing back onto the dance floor in the name of Crimbo fun.
The special episode saw the return of Denise Lewis, Frankie Bridge, Pamela Stephenson, Ainsley Harriott, Gethin Jones and Melvin Odoom- who all competed for the coveted Christmas trophy.
And guess what? It was our Melv’ who came out on top- managing to scoop the top spot after performing the Charleston, which secured him a perfect score of 40.

Melvin’s victory follows his slightly tumultuous exit from the Strictly competition a during week one- in which BBC producers had been accused of unfair treatment of the radio DJ.
Following Melv being booted from the show on the first week of the competition, some fans had began to engage in a race row after fellow contestant Tameka Empson became the next celebrity to depart the dance floor- with many viewers concerned with the politics behind this public decision.

Some very moving tributes to Carrie's incredible career as the news sadly breaks of her passing....
In another incredibly sad turn of events, it has been confirmed that legendary Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher has sadly passed away aged 60 after suffering a fatal heart attack.
Yesterday, Carrie’s publicists had shared the saddening news in a statement after receiving confirmation from Carrie’s daughter. The report states: ‘It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning’.
Billie’s statement then adds, ‘She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers’.
According to reports, Carrie had suffered a cardiac arrest during a transatlantic flight on the 23rd of December: ‘Paramedics removed her from the flight and rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for a heart attack. She later died in the hospital’.

Following Kim’s incredibly shocking armed robbery during Paris Fashion Week (which had left the mother understandably traumatised, and vowing to no longer partake in any aspect of celebrity life), Kanye was later hospitalized following a nervous breakdown which forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his world tour.
Very recently, the couple have been subject to much speculation over the status of their marriage- especially after Kim had chosen to ditch her wedding ring over the festive period.
However, it looks like they’re both back on top form, gold hair and all!
And it doesn't look like it's gone down too well with RiRi...
A mere amount of hours remain in 2016, and *still* the bombshells continue to drop.
The latest? Er, J-Lo and Drake are seemingly Instagram offish- having shared what appears to be their first ever couple pic!
Yup… we know.
So, this is the deal- over the past few weeks, Drake and Jennifer Lopez were seemingly spending a lot of time together. Heck, we all thought they were working on some new music or something together….
Not the case. In fact, it turns out they were working on something *entirely* different… THEIR RELATIONSHIP.
And guess what? It looks like Champagne Papi and Jenny from the Block are ready to enter 2017 as an official couple- as the pair have both taken to Instagram to share what appears to be confirmation of their relationship! Cayooot!
Jennifer also posted the exact same photo to her feed, also choosing to leave the snap without a caption. Because, ya’know, a picture is a thousand words and all that.
The pair had been rumoured to have become closer over the course of the past few months, with Drake hosting ‘intimate dinner parties’ for Jen and attending her gigs.
We think the writings on the wall with this one. However, for those less convinced by it all, we also have more to this story….
According to reports, the public unveiling of J-Drake (or Drlo, you decide) on Instagram has actually lead to Drake’s former flame Rihanna unfollowing her pal Jennifer on the app…
Pretty peculiar, considering that the ‘gals seemed to be stellar mates earlier this year. In fact, after Ri had released her collaboration with Manolo Blahnik she had sent Jennifer a pair of her thigh-high blue boots- which Jen had then decided to rock in her music video for Ain’t Your Mama.
This then prompted Ri to post a snap of Jen in the shoes with the caption ‘Thanks for the support! I’m having such a f***ing moment knowing that forever I have proof of a bad one like you in my designs!!!’.

Back in February, Charlotte treated herself to a new nose. ‘Sooooooo happy with my result,’ she wrote. The 26-year-old claimed the work was a ‘miracle’ and was so thrilled with her new face that she admitted to taking over 200 selfies a day ever since. That’s got to be one jam-packed camera roll.
Mario Falcone: Nose job
TOWIE’s Mario unveiled a straighter nose in October, admitting he broke it playing football aged 11. ‘I didn’t want to change the size. I wanted to keep my Italian heritage and
I’m proud of that,’ explained Mario. He said he became self- conscious after his old nose received its own Twitter account – with more followers than him.
Ferne McCann: Nose job
Former TOWIE star Ferne revealed she had her nose done in August, after being tormented by bullies and online trolls. Ferne, 26, said she had the operation to boost her confidence. ‘I’m not getting it done because I want to get closer to being beautiful. It’s not about that,’ she said. ‘It’s just something that I don’t like and every day I look in the mirror, it knocks my confidence.’ But she insisted it wasn’t a big change: ‘I just wanted something subtle. So, the current Queen of the Jungle has taken to social media to supply us with another fabulous fountain of Scar-Mo wisdom- and, as usual, it’s utterly wonderful.
Taking to Facebook, Scarlett shares some thoughts on a pretty successful 2016- writing, ‘Someone as a kid told me being nice gets you no where, it’s completely wrong it gets you everywhere. 2016 was a pretty mega year for Scarlett- having reigned as Queen of the Gogglebox sofa, Queen of the I’m a Celebrity jungle and Queen of fitness (her fitness DVD is out right this very second, just FYI).
However, 2017 may manage to top all of that- as it very well *could* be the year she ties the knot and starts popping out mini Scar-Mo’s!
Yup, Scarlett and her long term beau Luke Crodden recently revealed they have been discussing plans for the future… and it’s all looking very rosy.
Speaking with Hello magazine recently, Scar shares that ‘We’ve had a baby name chat!’, to which Luke added, ‘She wants to call our little girl Aurora’.
The pair then discussed plans for getting hitched, with Scarlett explaining, ‘We like the idea of getting married in the woods… ‘I like the idea of there being lots of fairy lights and I’d definitely like it to be outside’.

What is this bendy horizon we see before us? Amanda looks incredible at 45, but she still felt the need to do a little editing. She deleted the snap after everyone realised it wasn’t 100 per cent true to life, but clearly forgot about screengrabs and that small notion of the internet never forgetting anything.

Scott would have us all know that he really loves Bootea, a detox product – so much so he posed with a huge vat of a protein powder on Instagram. Unfortunately the caption also included what the company wanted him to post. Just a bit of a giveaway that he was getting mucho dollar for his endorsement…

Jade Thirwall forgot to remove a question from a caption about the group’s perfume Wishmaker. ‘How’s this copy Jade’ screamed the top line, going into the surreal nature of seeing your own face on the side of a taxi. The copy was OK; the caption kinda wasn’t. Whoops.

It’s not like we’d expect Naomi to compose her own social media statuses. Here she forgot to remove: ‘Could you put something like’ from the caption. As if she cares…
Former TOWIE star Amy stared wistfully into the distance despite an unstructurally sound door frame behind her – oh, wait, it was just where she’d edited the pic. Oops.
Khloé Kardashian
Khloé fell victim to the Photoshopping police this year too, and pulling down her leggings to show off those rock-hard abs wasn’t enough to distract us from noticing her leg looked a bit wrong. KK later admitted she’d doctored the pic, but only because she’s got one skinnier leg than the other after an injury back in the day.
Lauren’s often accused of altering her pics, so here’s one of her best from the past 12 months. You’d think she would’ve learned from the stick she got for slimming down her waist on hols in June, but no, here she is again in all her Photoshopping glory, wavy pavement and all. Tsk.

Can you spot the thing that’s missing? The edge of that swimming pool Brit’s casually reclining on, that’s what. The lack of pool edge in the cavernous space beneath Brit’s back got people sounding the ‘PHOTOSHOPPED!’ klaxon.
