Another blow to the popular Saturday night show

Simon Cowell might be a bit red faced after Britain’s Got Talent was accused of fakery AGAIN: this time it’s head-balancing pianist Colin Henry.

According to a report in The Sun, Colin ‘Fingers’ Henry told the BGT bosses that he is the Guinness World Record holder in order to appear on the show, but the organization doesn’t have him on the books.

This comes after Jules O’Dwyer used a stunt dog instead of the Matisse in the final of last year’s show, as well as the claims that 12-year-old singer Beau previously had performance training.

The 68-year-old claims he holds the record for ‘longest time playing while balancing on your head,’ which is perhaps the most impressive record for someone to hold. This claim even appeared in the BGT information pack.

Unfortunately, a Guinness spokesperson told the publication: ‘We currently do not recognise this record.’

A spokesperson for Britain’s Got Talent told CelebsNow: ‘Colin’s record is held with Mike Barwell’s Alternative World Records and was awarded in 1987.’

They also admitted that the information published on the BGT website linking Colin to the Guinness World record was a mistake.

This is good news for anyone planning on winning the record for longest time playing a piano on your head for Guinness, though.

There was controversy from the very start of the series when impressive Beau belted out an amazing rendition of Defying Gravity. However, many fans accused the show of insincerity when they omitted the fact she had prior training.

Though her dad later clarified that she only received training ‘once every three months’ from amateur theatre group Stage Pro.

Everyone loves BGT, but this kind of thing spoils all the fun, right?

In her hilarious book debut, Scarlett Says, the Geordie girl tells of her life before she hit the Gogglebox sofa with her parents, working in supermarkets and call centres.

‘I had to ID people for all sorts and they used to get really pissed off with me,’ she begins. ‘It wasn’t my bloody choice. A woman once threw a packet of paracetamol at my head because I told her she could only buy two boxes at a time.’

WOAH. How out of line is that?!

‘I even once worked in a call centre and I could never do it again because I haven’t got the patience for it. I got shouted at and got death threats and all sorts. The public are crazy.’

Yikes!

Among her other job tales, the 24-year-old TV star revealed that she got also sacked from the beauty counter of a department store for ‘making people too orange’.

However, while recording tonight’s Alan Carr: Chatty Man, Piers, who proclaimed feminism is dead after seeing a picture of Kim Kardashian topless, admitted he spied on Susanna in the showers.

And he was cocky about it afterwards: ‘That’s worth watching.’

MATE, STOP.

He also said that he once tried to give the 45-year-old a peck, but she rejected him.

However, Susanna shut down any hint of ‘sexual chemistry’ between the two by saying there was ‘not enough booze’ in Alan’s infamous drinks cabinet for her to go near Piers. Hmm.

This time was for a bet…

According to the 51-year-old: ‘You can never have enough beautiful women in your life.’

After being called out for staring at her breasts live on air, he said: ‘I was just admiring my co-presenter. The camera caught me at a difficult moment… I looked over and looked down and before I knew it…’

Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson has shared the real reason she takes sexy selfies.

Let’s not lie, we’re all partial to a little selfie.

Whack on a roughly seven filters and perhaps the Snapchat dog filter and hey presto, you might as well be bleeding Beyoncé!

And, as you’re probably well aware, the Geordie Shore gal’s are 100% into the whole selfie thing.

Now, you may be fooled into thinking that this whole selfie thing is just the Geordie ladies having a laugh and looking very very sexy at the same time- but according to 24-year-old Marnie Simpson, it’s a lot deeper than that.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Marnie has shared ‘People can criticise you but they don’t relise how hard it is being in this industry and how much it can effect your self-esteem’.

The Geordie gal’ continued, ‘A lot of the time I feel insecure and if I take a nice selfie of myself then it makes me feel better. It makes me think: stop being down, stop being insecure you look good’.

Marnie then added, ‘I 100 per cent put them up to validate myself and I know that sounds bad but most of the time when I do a sexy selfie it’s to make me feel good’.

The star, who has been very open about regretting her boob job after being left with scars, then shared her thoughts on her fellow Geordie Shore cast members appearances: ‘Chloe [Ferry] has got the potential to go too far and I still try to look natural… Chloe wears so much make-up that if she gets so much done to her face she’s going to look so overdone’.

Marnie has also recently shared her opinion on the whole Gaz/Charlotte thing, confessing ‘I’m not a fan of Gary… 100 percent Gary has affected her confidence and I don’t know why Charlotte got that involved with him.’

So long story short, Marnie is sharing lots of wisdom and opinions today and we are so here for it.

Gregg Wallace‘s body has gone through quite a transformation over the past few years.

The TV presenter has been interested in food since a young age. He starts his career selling vegetables at a stand in Covent Garden before becoming a very successful greengrocer.

Gregg – who was born in London on 17 October 1964 – begins co-presenting radio show Veg Talk and then moves into television.

He later admits that this is around the time he’s at his biggest, saying: ‘I was over 14st and really living the high life… fat and drunk.

‘The weight had crept on because I’ve been eating out and drinking for five or six nights a week for 20 years. Plus I’’m a rugby boy and a bit of a beer monster.’

Alongside co-host John Torode, Gregg joins MasterChef in 2005 and becomes a household name.

In our pictures, he’s sporting a paunch, a rounded face and a double chin. But he decides to change his lifestyle after being warned that he’s in danger of having a heart attack.

Gregg also admits to wanting to look more attractive on television.

He joins Weight Watchers and starts working out at the gym. By 2012, he’s sporting a much slimmer physique and reveals that he’s lost a very impressive 2st.

Gregg proudly tells fans: ‘Now my cholesterol’s down, my BMI’s sorted and my waist has gone from 42in to 32in.’

After this, Gregg successfully manages to keep his weight off. And when he joins Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, he drops a few more pounds.

‘4.5lbs I lost last week. Dancing three and four hours a day, you can eat pretty much anything you want,’ he says.

Apparently, Gaz has found out 'important stuff' in the past few weeks - and he's ready to spill

The road to a happily ever after is never one that runs smoothly – and perhaps the best example of this in today’s age is the ongoing romance between Charlotte Crosby and Gaz Beadle.

Now, recent pictures have seen her showing off a much slimmer figure, as she’s lost an impressive eight stone in under a year!

The actress appeared on Loose Women on Thursday (28th April 2016) and she looked slimmer than ever:

‘I have smaller portions now,’ she said, explaining her new lifestyle. ‘I don’t believe in fad diets, even though I have tried them before. I have no food after 6.30pm…I only eat a carb if I need one and absolutely no bread or booze.’

Before this, she’d surprised her fans in a tweet in March. During a long walk, Lisa showed off her new body:

Going down from a size 30 to a size 16, the actress and TV personality revealed to Bella magazine that the health issues faced by her immediate family had been a motivation to eat healthier, and exercise more: she lost her mum, Cath, to cancer, while her father was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2015 after a cancer scare of his own.

‘Losing my mum then seeing my dad wired up and nearly losing him and becoming an orphan was a shock to my system. I don’t want to be a statistic,’ she said in January 2016.

‘I just want my health to carry on, to live my life to the fullest.’

Lisa, 39, attributes her weight loss to an overall lifestyle change – not a diet – which includes giving up alcohol:

‘I’ve not drunk alcohol for a long time now. I pat myself on the back every day that not one drop of alcohol has passed my lips and I don’t think it ever will again.’

In October 2015, signs of her weight loss were visible when she released her plus-size fashion range ‘Just Be You’. However, she first saw signs of weight-loss in 2012, when she wowed the nation during her stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

In April 2016 Lisa admitted during an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women that her transformation is still proving quite a shock – not just to everybody else but to her too.

‘It’s still hard for me to see my reflection,’ she says. ‘Bits of me are going, it’s insane. It’s so different.’

Good on Lisa – a testament to what can be achieved with hard work!

The exes haven't crossed paths since last summer's split.

Yes, you read that right – for the first time since their four-year long relationship came to an end, Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards will be in the same place, at the same time. As far as we can tell, this has never happened before.

It was announced Thursday (28 April 2016) that Zayn would be performing at the huge event, which takes place on the 11th of June. The singer will be performing along with a whole host of other performers, including will.i.am, Jess Glynne, Sigala, Ariana Grande, Tinie Tempah, Zara Larsson, Lukas Graham, Years & Years, Nathan Sykes, Craig David and Mike Posner.

As of yet the performance times are unknown, but with this much tension brewed between P + Z, we expect that Zayn will be playing as many hours away from Little Mix as possible, to avoid any awkward encounters.

Even if Little Mix (and Perrie) weren’t at the event, it would still be a big night for Zayn. While he’s previously sung with his old 1D bandmates at Capital’s Summertime Ball, it’ll be the first time he’s performed solo in the UK, so it’s likely he’s going to want to pull out all the stops.

Hopefully this won’t turn out to be a repeat of the Radio 1 awards in February, where the ex-1D singer dropped out last minute, reportedly to avoid an uncomfortable meeting with his ex.

A real life fairy tale wedding?

Prince Harry was urged to MARRY Cheryl at the BT Sport Industry Awards – because it was his royal duty!

If marrying national treasures was the duty of every Prince, then he really does live in a fairy tale.

Host Mark Durden-Smith joked that Harry should pop the question to Cheryl, since she split from second husband Jena-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

He said: ‘I know you take your royal duties very seriously Harry and I think one of the duties that the nation would like you to perform is to marry Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

‘It’s what the nation wants Harry so give it some thought.’

As the 1700 guests attending the event at Battersea Evolution in London laughed away, Harry just raised an eyebrow as he considered the proposal.

Prince Harry and tennis star Tim Henman were presenting an outstanding contribution award to the Murray family, and were both suggested as top quality son-in-law material.

While Andy Murray couldn’t receive the award as he was busy preparing for the French Open, Judy Murray and Andy’s brother Jamie (who is the world number one doubles player), received it for the family.

Charlotte posted the snap of the Geordie Shore gang featuring Aaron Chalmers, Nathan Henry, Holly Hagan, Kyle Christie, Sophie Kasaei, Marnie Simpson, and Chloe Ferry, which is pretty much all of the main ones bar Gaz.

She captioned the photo: ‘Have you met my second family?! There cute and I love them… (me and Chloe pea heads in the background)’

The absence of Gaz is notable because of the current drama surrounding him and Charlotte Crosby. The Newcastle hunk is currently on his way back from Ex On the Beach, where he filmed with ex-girlfriend Lillie Lexi Gregg.

It was reported – and later confirmed by Charlotte – that Gaz had a threesome with Dawson and Olivia, and later bedded Jemma Lucy, while on the show, despite promising not to do anything while away.

This is all very ominous and fans everywhere are dying to know he means. And us. We’re all dying to know.

Victoria Beckham is one of the most famous women in the world but it turns out she bloomin’ hates being centre stage.

Simon Fuller – who was her ex-boss and former manager of the Spice Girls – has spoken out about how much VB hated being a pop star from the very start of her career.

‘The Spice Girls was great fun and she was in the world’s biggest group, but she didn’t feel comfortable,’ he told The Sun.

According to the Sunday Times Rich List 2015, the Queen’s estimated fortune is £340million.

And according to website Deadline, we will see her return on none other than ITV!

Truthing (the show’s working title) sees Courteney play a charismatic founder and leader of a cult-like organisation. So less clean-and-control-freak, more manipulate the minds of others. Sounds very modern.

Deadline explains: ‘Truthing is set in the Clear-Path Institute, a six-day healing retreat that promotes personal growth, transformational experience and inner well-being.

‘It follows the valiant efforts of its charismatic American founder and leader as she struggles to enlighten a fresh intake of truth-seekers.’

It is always funny when an American struggles to deal with the apathy of British culture, so this might be one to watch.

There’s also rumours from the US that while Courteney Cox works out the deal with ITV, she’s staying with ex-fiancé and Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid, and that their engagement is back on. The pair ended their engagement in November. But that’s another ‘we’ll wait and see’ rumours.

The production company is the same one that is responsible for Cold Feet’s return to ITV, so we can be doubly thankful.

Also joining the celebrations will be Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain, who has been asked to provide the Loose Women birthday cake. The show will also feature a few surprise guests and birthday messages from celebrity friends of the show.

Having been on the show since the early days, panellist Andrea McLean said: ‘Looking back I can’t believe how far Loose Women has come. When I joined the show nine years ago, we had just become a regular feature on ITV Daytime; a group of feisty, big-hearted women who weren’t afraid to bare their souls, and their opinions, to the nation. Kylie Jenner has been spreading some serious girl power vibes and we are HERE FOR IT.

Let’s not lie, since Bey‘s Lemonade release we’ve all gone a bit ‘independent woman’.

Not that we hadn’t before. Because, you know, Destiny’s Child‘s Independent Woman *was* released roughly fifteen years ago. We just mean we’ve gone EXTRA ‘independent woman’.

And this time, we’re bringing bats.

And it seems that one lady who has well and truly donned the Beyoncé yellow dress and bat combo is Kylie Jenner– have recently shared to Glamour that she, on no uncertain terms, does not ‘depend on a man’.

Soz Tyga. This is all a bit awks. Hehehehe.

Speaking of her stance on Feminism, 18-year-old Kylie shares: ‘I’m a young woman, for one thing, and I don’t depend on a man or anybody else. I make my own money and I feel like I’m an inspiration for a lot of young girls who want to stand on their own’. That’s what we like to hear, Kylerz!

The youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner klan continues, ‘I don’t think I stand up in public that way a lot. Not that I don’t feel things in my personal life, but yes: I do consider myself a feminist’ before adding ‘I haven’t had a dollar of my mum’s money for five years….I’ve paid for everything’.

Now this is all well and good, but KUWTK fans should beware- as Kylie is considering quitting.

Allow K-Dawg to explain: ‘In time, I think I’ll just slowly start moving behind the scenes….[Keeping Up With The Kardashians] has to end eventually, and by 20 I want to have the whole of my cosmetics line out because that’s my primary focus’.

Well, there’s only one word for it… You tell em’, Kimmy.

Plot twist!

Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt is taking on the world at the moment: first she releases her fabulous new book, now there’s rumblings of a fitness DVD, but soon she could be taking on the biggest celebrity competition in the country.

That’s right, Scarlett Moffatt wants to compete on Strictly Come Dancing! Though she has one small problem – she’s already a seasoned ballroom dancer.

The North-Eastern star says in her book Scarlett Says: ‘I’d love to go on Strictly but I just don’t think they’d let me on. I’m basically a ringer, as I’ve danced against some of the professionals in copmpetitions when I was younger.’

She won national titles and was even trained by dancing favourite Anton du Beke in the past! Now that’s a pairing we’d like to see.

But how does an every-girl like Scarlett get into the world of ballroom? She explains:

‘I started wearing fake tan properly, out of choice, when I was thirteen. But I wore it from an even younger age because I did a lot of ballroom dancing.

‘I loved it but unfortunately it was in the pre-Strictly Come Dancing days so everyone used to take the mickey out of how old-fashioned it was.’

Now EVERYONE wants to be a ballroom dancer. However, if Scar is too well-trained to be a competitor, there is always another solution. In fact, she comes up with the answer in her own book.

‘I watch it now and I do have a slightly different take on the show. I’ll be watching someone dance and I’ll say, “He had no rise and fall and no lilt,” and my dad will look and me like I’m mental and then Len Goodman will comment and he’ll say exactly the same thing.’

So… Scarlett Moffatt as the next Len Goodman? Who wouldn’t want to watch her face-off against Craig Revel Horwood? That’s a Saturday night fight we want to see.

Natasha joins the growing army of women fighting the online trolls

Natasha Hamilton has hit back at the vicious trolls who labelled her a ‘4X4 mum’ – and shone a light on how much it is affecting her family.

The Atomic Kitten star appeared on This Morning to discuss the horrible comments being made about her on social media, such as ‘4×4 mum’, which means a woman who’s had four kids by four different fathers.

And while the 33-year-old has ignored the comments for the most part, there’s now been a backlash against her kids.

She explained to hosts Ruth Langsford and James Martin: ‘My son [eldest, 13-year-old Josh] was set on a school bus and held down and shout at… And they were saying, “Oh you’re mum’s a 4X4 mum,” and it breaks my heart.’

Natasha is a proud mum to four children: Josh Cosgrove, 13; Harry Hatcher, 11; Alfie Riad Erraji, five, and 18-month-old Ella Rose Neville.

Though Liverpool-born Natasha is not one to let comments bring her down: ‘I refuse to let that attack define me.

‘I have been successful in my own right since I was 16. I have worked hard and put food on the table. I actually do the best I possibly can for my children. It annoys me that people get so upset that I have had four children. Yeah I have.

‘And what would my life be without them? It would be absolutely rubbish. They enrich me all the time. I am proud of my comments.’

Natasha is also very aware of the double-standard, as she claims none of her former partners get the same abuse, nor do celebrity men in the same situation.

‘They don’t get any comments really. It is all aimed at me. As women, we fight anyway to be respected. To be attacked, especially by other women…’

Though she clarifies: ‘It’s women and men.’

Natasha Hamilton is part of an ever-growing number of celebrity women who are sick of the online trolls. Vicky Pattison has spoken out frequently about body-shamers plaguing her social media, and Katie Price has conducted a witch-hunt of those cruelly taunting her disabled son Harvey.

Well Natasha has one final comment for the trolls: ‘People, please be very conscious that when you put damning remarks on social media, they aren’t just words on the screen. They damage people.’

It's been a week of complaints for the BBC soap

Fans of EastEnders have had a real treat this week, as the BBC soap has been putting in overtime by adding an additional, extra-long episode with some seriously high-voltage drama.

However, there are some who haven’t been too impressed – as a comment made to character Jay Brown during the week is just one of many complaints that have been brought to Ofcom’s attention.

According to The Mirror, the controversial themes in the week’s episodes have ruffled more than a few feathers, as many of the scenes have centred on Jay (played by Jamie Borthwick) and his pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

He was in a relationship with ‘Linzi’ – who he eventually discovered was named Star, and was 14 years old. Though this prompted divisive opinions in itself, a viewer was further saddened when Linzi/Star’s mum, Thelma Bragg, at one point angrily referred to red-haired Jay as a ‘ginger nunce’.

Apparently, the viewer wrote in stating that this was a ‘discriminatory reference to hair colour’.

Oh dear.

Elsewhere, viewers were surprised when Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) had a drunken tryst with fellow Albert Square resident Denise Fox (Diane Parish) – and the references to sexual activity and inebriation caused further viewers to register their upset with the communications regulator.

And if that were not enough, character Phil was the source of another complaint due to a comment made to the boyfriend of his son, Ben. Referring to Paul Coker throwing darts, he remarked: ‘At least he can throw straight’.

Good grief – it seems as if there’s just as much drama surrounding the show as there is in the scripts!

Ryan Reynolds has paid an emotional tribute to a 13-year-old boy, from Canada, called Connor McGrath, who tragically lost his battle with cancer this week.

Ryan Reynolds has paid an emotional tribute to a 13-year-old boy, from Canada, called Connor McGrath, who tragically lost his battle with cancer this week.

Ryan and Connor met through the Make-A-Wish Foundation when Connor hoped to watch Ryan’s film Deadpool before its official release. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when he was just 10 years old.

His friends and family were attempting to raise $800,000 (around £550,000) to send him to the United States for an experimental cancer treatment. However, back in February, his mother, Kim Searle-McGrath, called off the attempt as her Connor’s health sadly went down hill.

Connor heartbreakingly lost his battle with the disease on Tuesday.

Ryan – who’s married to Blake Lively and is dad to daughter James – posted this message on FB about his ‘Bubba’ along with some heartwarming pictures.

‘For three straight years, my friend, Connor McGrath drop-kicked cancer… Not sure how… Maybe the cancer cheated… But the fight came to an end two nights ago.

In my wildest dreams, I can’t imagine how hard this is for his parents Kim and Gerald – along with his extended family in Newfoundland.

Connor was 13. But this kid… He was smart. He was funny. And not just funny ‘for a kid’ – or funny ‘for a person battling something awful’. He was unqualified funny. He had that… thing.

That thing you see in great performers or comedy writers. A running commentary/observational skill people are just lucky to be born with.

He went way too early and it’s impossible to reconcile. Connor was a great friend, a great son, and a light to the people lucky enough to know him. While repeatedly punching cancer in the balls, he made everyone laugh. Including the entire staff who cared for him at Edmonton’s Stollery Children’s Hospital.

Ryan met Connor through Make-A-Wish Foundation.

 

It was the Make-A-Wish Foundation that brought us together. I can’t thank them enough. Seriously. Thank you. Because of his wish, Connor was the first person to see Deadpool. I traveled up to Edmonton, Alberta to surprise him with a rough cut of the film. There were still huge sections with wires we hadn’t yet painted out, jokes which weren’t working (and still aren’t) and green screens. Connor didn’t seem to mind. And I’d never felt luckier to get to be Wade Wilson.

***Before you jump down my throat for showing a 13 year old an R-Rated film, please know this kid knew more swear words than a British chef.

I went back to Edmonton 6 weeks later and I wish I could say things were looking up. After my visit, I didn’t know if I was saying goodbye or see ya later. Sitting here now, I realize it was both.

I’m grateful I got to orbit Connor’s world for a brief time. Grateful for the pages and pages of hilarious texts between us. Grateful to his parents for allowing Connor to spend time with a foul-mouthed child in the body of a 39 year old.

I called Connor, “Bubba”. And he called me “Bubba2”. We met because he loved Deadpool. In a certain sense he WAS Deadpool. Or, at least everything Deadpool aspires to be; balancing pain, fearlessness, love and a filthy (filthy!) sense of humor in one body. I wish he could’ve stuck around a lot longer.
