Newly married Peter Andre opens up about his and Emily MacDonagh’s big day
Peter Andre has broken his silence about his wedding to Emily MacDonagh and it sounds like it was a day to remember.
The 42-year-old singer married long-term partner Emily, 25, at Mamhead House in Exeter, Devon on Saturday and, whilst we’ve not seen any pictures from the nuptials yet, Pete says his new wife was a picture.
‘I’m so delighted to tell you all that yes, Ems and I tied the knot at the weekend!’ Pete writes in his New! magazine column.
‘Ems looked absolutely beautiful.’
Awww! Pete’s also revealed that his son Junior, 10, and daughter Princess, 8, from his marriage to Katie Price were a part of the wedding and had a ‘fantastic’ time.
Junior is said to have been a pageboy whilst Princess acted as a flower girl.
Pete’s youngest child – baby Amelia, who he and Emily welcomed in January 2014 – is probably a bit too young to have taken a similar role, although the dad-of-three had previously said that he hoped his little girl might walk down the aisle.
Newlywed Pete hasn’t given us any hints about what sort of dress Emily wore for their special day but the doctor recently revealed that she was keen on a design similar to that worn by Kate Middleton at the 2011 Royal Wedding.
‘Kate’s is my dream dress,’ Emily has previously revealed. ‘I’d have a replica of that if it wasn’t expensive.
‘I absolutely loved that dress. Kate looked beautiful. There’s nothing about it I don’t like – the veil, the dress, the long sleeves and the A-line skirt. I like the covered look – even a high neck like Kim Kardashian’s. I like it when brides are a bit covered up.’
Sounds lovely! Since their low-key wedding Pete has kept quiet on social media but fans have been posting lots of congratulatory messages for the happy couple.
‘congratulations to you both. May you both have happiness,health,love and great times ahead xxx,’ one Tweeted.
Another scribed: ‘Hope you and your beautiful new wife have had an amazing wedding day. Wishing you a long and happy life together x’
