Kanye West Vs the science of Psychology

Just what is Kanye West? Will we ever know?
Kanye West is the saviour of music; the man who will bring right to all of the world’s wrongs; bigger than Jesus – at least that’s what he thinks.
(Or what people think he thinks? Kanye’s life is confusing)
We’ve already found out what the music scene think about Yeezy’s Twitter outbursts, and many of us already play amateur psychologist when reading his ‘Mark Twain level’ writing. But what would an actual medical professional think of it all?
Well, US site Medical Daily have enlisted the help of Doctor Jean Twenge, professor of Psychology at San Diego State University, to see what’s really going on in his noggin.
Let’s put our boffin hats on and see what she has to say.

This is ours
‘We can compare the characteristics of narcisstic people to some of Kanye’s tweets. Many of his tweets are classic examples of these characteristics.’
Narcissism is basically taking Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ to its ridiculous MAXIMUM, and mostly concerns an obsession with yourself, with your personal power, and how you see yourself affecting the world. This should be interesting…
She starts off with grandiosity (thinking you are the best in the world). These aren’t hard to find.
I’m this generation's Disney… I want to bring dope shit to the world…

but I need access to more money in order to bring more beautiful ideas to the world.

Then she talks about entitlement, where he wants others to provide for his needs, in this case for Kanye West’s own brand of greater good
Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas

And she concludes with the big question on the Narcissistic Personality Inventory (it’s like the test for narcissism) is whether they agree with the statement: ‘If I ruled the world, it would be a better place.’
The world needs a guy like me. The world needs somebody to not be scared and tell his truth.

I know I can make the world a better place… I have done the impossible … I retook the throne of rap… I beat the fashion game…

So there you have it, everything you thought about Kanye is true! Or is it? Another psychologist who specialises in ruining fun (probably), Danielle Belton, said that maybe we shouldn’t read too much into the tweets as it doesn’t necessarily reflect what’s actually going on in their real life.
What did Kanye West say on stage at the Glastonbury?
Ohhhh.
Okay.
