This is a bit awkward
Zayn Malik’s debut solo offering, Pillow Talk, is currently climbing the iTunes charts all around the world.
But it seems the song may lead to more of an awkward conversation than casual Pillow Talk when ex-fiancé Perrie Edwards gives it a listen. Although the sensual track about getting down and dirty features the singers new girlfriend, supermodel Gigi Hadid, he has since confirmed the album was completely finished before he’d even met his current missus.
Talking about the record, titled Mind of Mine, he told Zane Lowe he started working on the material two months after leaving One Direction in March, which was several months before calling off his engagement to the Little Mixer in August.
Meaning it has to be about his ex of four years, Perrie? Right?
We’re sure she’ll be thrilled to listen to lyrics such as: ‘Be in my bed all day, bed all day, bed all day. F**king you, and fighting on. It’s our paradise and it’s our war zone.’ Zayn also revealed there’s a track on the album called Wrong, which is ‘all about looking in the wrong place for love.’
Whether it’s about Perrie or not… we’ve had it on repeat since we woke up. Banger.
