Critic Jackson Murphy apologises after Amy calls him out for Tweet about her

Amy Schumer has never shied away speaking her mind and so she wasn’t afraid to show how she felt when a sexist joke was posted about her on Twitter yesterday.
The 34-year-old comedienne hit out at teenage film critic Jackson Murphy after he posted a crude comment with a photo of them together taken at the Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
Who is Amy Schumer’s new bloke Ben Hanisch?
‘Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that,’ Jackson, 17, Tweeted about the snap.
His attempt at humour didn’t go down well though, particularly not with Amy herself.
The Trainwreck star sarcastically replied: ‘I get it. Cause I’m a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad’

Yikes! Following Amy’s feisty response Jackson was clearly mortified to have caused offence and deleted the controversial Tweet.
He also quickly apologised to Amy, writing: ‘I truly apologize. Thought you’d like the joke.
‘I should leave the comedy to you! Thanks for the photo. Glad you won last night!’
Jackson reiterated how much he regretted the remark in another message posted afterwards saying; ‘I truly apologize for the tweet I posted earlier. I’m not a comedian and it wasn’t funny. @amyschumer’
Luckily Amy forgave the teenager and posted a kind response.
‘that’s really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that,’ she explained.

The way Amy dealt with the whole situation earned admiration from many of her fans.
‘You are so classy. I admire your restraint. I think you really got through to him too which shows the power of compassion,’ one Tweeted.
Another wrote: ‘Glad you’re sorry. Treat people with respect in the future.’
Other Twitter users urged Jackson not to feel too upset about the hoo-ha though.
‘Takes a big man to apologize sincerely,’ a fellow Tweeter told him, whilst one added: ‘We all make mistakes man. You’re a class act for how you handled it imo’
