Head judge Len blasted rumours of Strictly Come Dancing being a fix in the wake of Anita Rani's shock exit

Strictly Come Dancing is never far from rumours of it all being a fix, and the latest batch of accusations came after Anita Rani‘s shock exit from the BBC show on Sunday night.
The judges voted to send Anita and Gleb Savchenko home over Katie Derham and her dance partner Anton Du Beke after they found themselves in the dreaded dance-off – despite the fact that the Countryfile presenter originally scored eight more points that Katie on Saturday night.

Now head judge Len Goodman has become the show’s latest star to rubbish the fix rumours, calling them ‘daft.’
Appearing on This Morning, Len insisted that he’s never been told what to say or who to vote for by Strictly producers – and made it clear that he wouldn’t be happy if that was the case.
‘Listen, I’ve judged the World Championships,’ he said. Do you think if a producer come up to me [and said], ‘Oi, Len, we really want so and so to get…’ [shakes head]
‘Well, you can imagine what I’d tell them! And it wouldn’t happen… it’s just absolutely daft.’
His comments come as Tess Daly also jumped to the show’s defence, calling rumblings of a fix ‘absolute nonsense.’
She said: ‘I have been at ‘Strictly’ since day one.
‘I can categorically say that the integrity of everyone who works on that show, from the producers to the judges, is absolutely without question. There is no fix. This is not an issue, it is just an absolute nonsense.’
She added: ‘Every judge is a professional dancer – they know what they are talking about. They care about what they do. We have great judges on Strictly.’
We quite agree, Tess!
