Che Chesterman blew us away in Nick Grimshaw's group!

WOW. WHAT AN X FACTOR FINAL! We’ve had Rod Stewart, Little Mix, Fleur East, Ben Haenow, Leona Lewis, the judges and of course the amazing contestants!
Sadly we waved goodbye to Che Chesterman on Saturday night sending Louisa Johnson and Reggie N Bollie into the final.
But boy, did Che deserve his slot in the final.
Lovely Che has transformed before our very eyes over the course of this year’s competition, going from the backwards-cap-wearing supermarket shelf stacker that blew us all away with his rendition of Jessie J‘s hit Who You Are to the suave, swinging star that reached this weekend’s live finals.
After a bit of an awks moment at Boot Camp where he seemed unable to talk, Che thankfully found his voice to belt out Donny Hathaway’s Song For You, which left hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack watching on with open-mouthed awe.
It impressed the judges too, and Che made it through the Six Chair Challenge with a killer performance of It’s A Man’s World, and then claimed his place in the live finals thanks a note-perfect rendition of Don’t Know Much, AKA his mum and dad’s wedding song. Aww!
And it wasn’t just his performances that made us all emotional – when Che declared his undying love for girlfriend Meg Hanley in a cute Facebook post, we had a ‘something in our eye’ moment.
It also emerged that Che already had a celebrity fan in the shape of James ‘Arg’ Argent, with the TOWIE star even recording some tracks with the X Factor hopeful as part of his Arg Band.
Che had an up and down ride during the live shows, going from incredible highs – such as his incredible Amy Winehouse and Marvin Gaye mash-up in week one – to some pretty difficult lows; we can still feel the creeping horror of watching him stumble through Adele’s Hello after he forgot the words. Yikes.
Having found himself in the bottom two twice – including during last week’s semi-final along with Lauren Murray – Che battled through and made it to the grand final.
As well as performing a kick ass duet with the legend that is Rod Stewart, Che also treated us to an amazing version of Amy Winehouse’s Valerie.
Well done Che, we know there’s even bigger, better things for you to come!
