Michael Cavallari, brother of reality star Kristin Cavallari, was found dead in Utah on Thursday
Kristin Cavallari has posted a touching tribute to older brother Michael Cavallari, whose body was tragically found on Thursday.
Michael, who was 30 years old, had not been seen since November 27th, and was officially reported as missing earlier this week.
‘My heart is in a million pieces,’ the former Hills castmate captioned an Instagram picture of them both as children. ‘Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed.
‘I’m at a loss for words but I know you are in a better place and finally at peace. I love you so much RIP.’
Reports say that Michael was found three miles away from his crashed car in the Utah desert, with TMZ stating cold weather to be a probable cause of death.
In a statement given to People magazine, Kristin announced the death of her brother, and thanked the public for ‘their love, support and prayers’. She continued: ‘We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving.’
Kristin gave birth to her third child with husband Jay Cutler in November, and has been making her name as a fashion designer after the end of reality show The Hills in 2010.
