He's fast become one of our favourite Strictly stars, but Georgia May Foote's partner has shocked us with this revelation...
It’s his first year on the show, but Strictly Come Dancing‘s Giovanni Pernice has waltzed straight into our list of favourite dancers (yep, right up there with lovely Alijaz and Kevin from Grimsby.
Partnered with Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote, Giovanni has become an instant hit with fans of the BBC show too – but the Italian stallion has made a shocking confession that we can barely believe!

The nimble-toed Italian has revealed he only learned to speak fluent English in August THIS YEAR – that’s just weeks before the current series started!
Giovanni revealed the news during a Q&A chat with his friend and fellow Strictly dancer Aljaz Skorjanec, saying: ‘I start to speak in English in August.’
He added that being paired with Georgia had helped his language skills – particularly his understanding of the Mancunian accent!
He said: ‘After they give me Georgia I learnt a completely different accent! Jump becomes ‘Joomp’. Now, I get the Manchester accent!’
Brilliant.
Giovanni also revealed that he is single and on the hunt for someone to be his (romantic, not dance) long-term partner.
‘I am a single lady!’ he joked, adding: ‘I want to be a good father for my daughter and son and a good husband.’
We can think of plenty of women who’d be more than happy to volunteer, Giovanni!

Together, Giovanni and Georgia have waltzed (and quickstepped, tangoed and, umm, paso dobled) their way into this weekend’s quarter final, after finishing third on Saturday’s leaderboard.
This week, they’ll be performing a foxtrot to Beauty and the Beast as part of Musical Week – so we hope Giovanni has been swotting up on a spot of French too – oh la la!
