We never thought we'd say this but Piers Morgan has become a lot of people's weird crush

Piers Morgan has a reputation for being a bit like marmite – you either love him or you hate him – so we were bracing ourselves for a very mixed reaction to his debut as a Good Morning Britain presenter this week.
It appears that straight-talking Piers, 50, has proved unexpectedly popular with many viewers though. In fact ever since he took his place on the sofa next to co-host Susanna Reid some have kind of developed a weird crush on him – who saw that one coming?
We never thought we’d say this but here’s 7 reasons why we sort of fancy Piers Morgan…
1. Lorraine Kelly says it’s okay
Cheeky Lorraine admitted she’s a bit shocked to find herself attracted to Piers. The bubbly presenter reTweeted a snap of Mr Morgan sporting a rugged look today and joked: ‘Is it bad that I actually find this pic a teensy bit attractive??? NURSE! Where’s my medication.’ Don’t worry Lorraine, you’re not alone.

2. And a lot of other people say it’s okay too
Piers seems to have attracted a surprisingly large number of admirers already if these Tweets are anything to go by…
I think I fancy @piersmorgan am I going to hell?!

Blimey.
3. He knows how to laugh at himself
Everyone loves a man with a sense of humour and Piers definitely has that. The TV host has been reTweeting comments about his GMB debut ranging from the good to the very VERY bad and the plain bonkers so can clearly poke fun at himself. Also he said this:
Disappointingly positive tweets after Day 2 on @GMB. Apologies for not annoying you all enough. Will try harder tomorrow.

LOLs.
4. He’s got good banter
Piers regularly engages in amusing Twitter exchanges with celebs and the like. Most recently he’s been making us chuckle during his online banter with GMB co-host Susanna Reid on topics ranging from football to them being TV husband and wife. They’re always at it on air too.
Piers is already making an impression on Susanna… #PiersonGMB https://t.co/lE02HEXz26

Which leads us on to…
5. His chemistry with Susanna
We kind of love how Piers and Susanna have been bouncing off each other on the show and they’ve already proven they’ve got great chemistry. Though poor Susanna seems to find it all a bit exasperating working with her new telly husband sometimes…

6. He’s a proud dad
Piers received a glowing review from his son Spencer following his GMB debut – awww.
1st time watching @GMB live and Despite bias I must say the old boy and @susannareid100 are absolutely smashing it pic.twitter.com/IJdCi8ey6D

The TV star is also a father to two other children from his first marriage and has a daughter with his second wife Celia Walden.
7. It’s fun to have a weird crush
Let’s be honest, everyone has them and they’re pretty good fun, right? It certainly sounds like Piers is many GMB viewers’ guilty pleasure right now and we say go for it.
