Jamelia hints that not all was as it seemed following the latest dance-off but the BBC have hit back

Jamelia might have ended up in the dance-off countless times on Strictly Come Dancing but many viewers were shocked to see her be the one voted off on last weekend’s show.
The 34-year-old star lost out to Peter Andre when three of the judges opted to send her home, despite her impressive Quickstep scoring higher than Pete’s Jive on Saturday night’s show, and now she’s sensationally made a dig at Pete by hinting that all was not as it seemed…
Jamelia on shock Strictly spray tan moment
During an appearance on It Takes Two last night, Jamelia told presenter Zoë Ball: ‘I definitely thought there was hope [we’d get through]. I think we did a great last dance.
‘I think it was until they re-recorded Pete’s “standing ovation”, I’d say that that was the moment I realised we’re going home.’
Erm, awkward, much?! Host Zoë looked a bit stunned by the bombshell whilst Jamelia’s dance partner Tristan MacManus didn’t know where to look.
It seems that Jamelia wasn’t the only one surprised to be knocked out of Strictly following her highly-praised performance.
Many viewers voiced their support for her following the judges’ decision to keep Pete, 42, in the competition, even though he ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday night…
@Jamelia's improvement this week, and then again in the dance-off was immense. Worst dance off decision in the history of #Strictly. #SCD

Every other week the dance-off's been about that one last dance. Well, not tonight. Jamelia danced better than Peter. Len was right. #SCD

Even some famous faces weighed in on the shock call.
I've just caught up with Strictly – this is BULLSH*T!!!!!!! Jamelia was a better dancer!

I'm not watching #strictlycomedancing this evening, so please lie to me and tell me they keep Jamelia in.

However, the BBC have hit back at any suggestions of a fixed result, having told the Mirror: ‘Following Peter’s performance in the dance off, for which he received a standing ovation from the audience, continuity shots were taken during a break in filming to reset the dance floor.
‘These extra opportunities to capture audience reaction are standard practice in recording TV shows of this nature.’
There’s clearly no bad blood between Jamelia and Pete though as the Loose Women star has praised him and his partner Janette Manrara for their hard work throughout the competition.
‘I would never want to take away from anyone else’s efforts,’ she added on It Takes Two.
‘They definitely have put just as much effort as everyone else in and I love them to bits. No hard feelings whatsoever.
‘I’m really really happy for them.’
