Adele has spoken out about her ‘break the internet’ moment with her latest single, ‘Hello’. ‘I did a Kim Kardashian,’ she told Etalk.ca, ‘Thank god it wasn’t with my ass [like Kim]. It would’ve actually broke the internet if it was my bum.’ Oh Adele – you crack us up!

We love the singer for her down-to-earth interview style, and we think this was a hilarious, self-deprecating comment about her success with ‘Hello’, the comeback single which broke Billboard records by selling more than 1.11 million copies in a week. It also broke the Vevo record for most streams in a day, reaching 27.7 million. Mind-boggling numbers there!
Adele also opened up about the emotional nature of her new album ’25, which draws upon personal experience of relationships. ‘”25″ is about how I make myself feel as opposed to how a horrible boyfriend makes me feel,’ she explained. While her previous album, ’21’, was focussed on a break-up theme, she sees ’25’ as more of a coming-of-age project: ‘”So this record is all about myself and it’s about yearning for myself, and for my friends and for my childhood and stuff like that. It’s a bit frightening, I’m only ever going to be an adult now. I’m not going to be a kid again.’
Part of this coming-of-age is owing to giving birth to son Angelo with her partner Simon Konecki back in 2012, which made her combine the pressures of raising a child with producing music. Speaking about the difficulties of motherhood, ‘I never had anything to balance before. It was only me before, and then all of a sudden I became a mom and all my attention is on my kid and stuff like that.’
We think you have managed it amazingly, Adele, and can’t wait for the album release THIS Friday, November 20th. Until then…guess it’s ‘Hello’ on repeat!
