Former X Factor winner Steve Brookstein faces a backlash on Twitter once again over an inappropriate comment joke he made about HIV.

He’s done it once again. Steve Brookstein has made comment on Twitter that’s made us all facepalm, BIG TIME.
Related: Remember when Steve also made THIS inappropriate comment?
As poor Olly Murs made a bit of a slip up on live TV on The X Factor, Steve decided to take to Twitter to highlight Olly’s blunder in pretty poor taste.
Dr Murs, "Sorry you have HIV, actually no, sorry I'm wrong. You haven't. My mistake. Hold on, yes, sorry you have HIV. Sorry." #XFactor

Steve’s tweet unsurprisingly recieved a whole bunch of backlash on the social media platform, but he defended his joke, saying that it was just a Family Guy reference, and said that those who didn’t find his ‘joke’ funny didn’t know how to construct a joke.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time that the dad-of-two has caused controversy though. Sigh.
Earlier this year, while the hashtag #ShoutYourAbortion was trending, which was used to empower women to speak about their eperiences about their own abortions, Steve decided to jump onto the hashtag for his own use…
I aborted my pop career as I was trapped in abusive recorded deal. My shame stops today. #ShoutYourAbortion

#ShoutYourAbortion Hashtag is still popular. Whereas my #ShoutYourDump didn't really take off. Shame, you can't beat a good poo.

Oh, and there was that time that he when it was the 10th anniversary of the 7/7 attacks of the London bombings, but Steve made sure we knew that at the time he was oblivious to it all happening as he was busy with his album success.
10 years ago I was heading home from New York and Barcelona after celebrating a No1 album. Totally oblivious to 7/7 attacks.

And unfortunately, there’s more. Steve once tweeted yet another inappropraite joke at the expense of child sex abuse victims, referring to serious allegations made against ex-prime minister Sir Edward Heath: ‘Those kids moaning about Ted Heath touching them are just bitter. They need to get over it. Jesus it was years ago.’
Once again, Steve defended himeslf insisting that was clearly being sarcastic, however not many people find it very funny, including former Westlife member Brian McFadden.
‘This @stevebrookstein account has to be fake. Even the real Steve brookstein wasn’t this much of a p***k.’
Oh dear – maybe someone should confistate Steve’s phone off him for a while…
