Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres whilst a guest on her show, Ed explained: ‘I played the biggest venue you can play in England and sold out for three nights. England’s national emblem is a lion… All my tattoos are things that I’ve done in my career and they’re all leading to the middle bit which is the lion, and that’s like every part of my career’.
Ed, who also sports the Heinz ketchup logo to represent the start of his 2012 tour in Columbus (nope, us neither), also doesn’t really care about the outrage his chest caused. The star continues, ‘I think it looks cool. I don’t really care if anyone else does’.
Personally, we think the lion rocks. And do you know what? It rocks even more when you learn that Ed had originally planned to ‘get the floor plan [of Wembley Stadium] tattooed on my side, but that seemed a bit ridiculous’. What’s that we hear? Ahh yes- the sweet, sweet sound of a SAFE FLIPPING ESCAPE.
So whilst we’re taking a lil’ Sheeran inspiration and getting tattoos to represent of our achievements, we’ll just go and dig up our A-level results…… *ahem*
