Despite this, Janette, 31, is a little concerned about their upcoming performance this weekend, revealing that Pete is ‘scared’.
Speaking exclusveily to Now, Janette explained: ‘He’s (Pete) had very little rehearsal this week. He’s released his album and has been doing a lot of promotion work – we didn’t rehearse at all on Monday, we only did about two or three hours on Tuesday. Finally on Wednesday we had a good chunk but he’s a little bit scared about this week.’
We reckon Pete will still do amazing!
Janette added: ‘I can’t stress it enough but everyone is so good this year and I think the only thing with Peter is that sometimes people tend to think that becaue someone is popular or doing really well on the show, they’re automatically going to be safe and they’re not! And we’ve seen that in the past.’
Speaking about Pete’s weight-loss, Janette reassured us that he’s still eating plenty thanks to wife Emily MacDonagh.
‘Emily is doing a good job to make sure that he eats when he gets home. He tries not to eat too much during the day.’
She also revealed that herself and Pete often make jokes about opening a Cuban restaurant together.
Now THAT’S something we’d like to see!
So what’s dad-of-three Pete REALLY like as a dance partner?
‘He is lovely,’ gushed Janette, adding: ‘I am never angry at him. Even when something may take three times as long, he never frustrates me, he never upsets me, he just has such a positive disposition about everything that he does. He really wants to do well.
We can’t wait to watch Janette and Pete’s next dance!
