We know that Kylie Minogue is pretty awesome at most things but just when we thought she couldn’t get any better, she’s gone and become an author too!

And, guess what – her story sounds pretty amazing!

The pop princess – who is soon to be releasing an album with her sister Dannii – has turned her hand to the new writing project to raise money for charity while fulfilling a dream of releasing a kids book.

Kylie, who is a devoted aunt to her sister’s children, teamed up with boyband One Direction, as well as a string of other celebs, to pen the book for the charity about a half girl, half dinosaur called Fiona.

‘The Curious Tale Of Fi-Rex’ was written as a game of Consequences where each celebrity author was given just the last line of the previous page before taking the story on in their own way and along with Kylie a host of stars enjoyed a turn including Paul McCartney, Tom Daley, Andy Murray, Take That and Kate Moss.

Speaking about the book, Kylie – who loves playing aunt to Dannii’s four-year-old son Ethan – and in the book is a fairy godmother who helps the main character Fi-Rex return home to her family – said: ‘I loved the idea of being part of this children’s book and I hope it raises awareness and funds for a very worthy cause.’

One Direction, who are immortalised in the book as a band of frogs called Pond Direction also admitted they enjoyed writing something for their youngest fans.

Speaking about the book, Niall Horan from One Direction said: ‘Children In Need is such an amazing charity, so we were really happy to get involved in this book.’

Other stars who contributed to the book include Jamie and Jools Oliver, Wayne Rooney, Amanda Holden, Ronan Keating, Bear Grylls, Denise Van Outen, Andy Murray, Keith Lemon, Kate Moss and Nick Grimshaw.

Fans can now bid online for the original pages of the charity book signed by their favourite stars and it’s available to buy now in all shops to raise money for Children In Need on November 13th.
