When a reporter asked Ellen Page why she decided to go public with her girlfriend Samantha Thomas at the screening of her new film, she simply answered: ‘I’m in love.’
And what a fabulous reason. The pair were on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival where Ellen’s latest film, Freeheld, which also stars Julianne Moore, was being shown.

In the film, Ellen, 28, and Julianne play a lesbian couple fighting for their legal rights after one of them is diagnosed with cancer.

The Toronto International Film Festival might have been the first time the couple chose to be seen together, but Sam’s been Instagramming cute moments with Ellen for some time – the first picture she uploaded of the pair together was taken while they watched an ice hockey game almost four months ago.
