The presenter is rumoured to be on the look out for a new fella
It’s no secret Strictly Come Dancing has been a hotbed for romances over the years. And with new contestant Kirsty Gallacher being the latest celebrity added to the line-up, fans are hoping for a dalliance on the dancefloor!
One fan tweeted, “I bet Kirsty will have a relationship on the show,” while another questioned, “Who’s going to get it on this year on Strictly???”
A source close to the Sky Sports Present star recently revealed Kirsty is on the look out for love.
The 39-year-old, who separated from former rugby union player Pal Sampson last years after four years of marriage, is said to have told friends she’s ‘single and ready to mingle.’
The source continued: ‘Kirsty’s absolutely thrilled that Strictly have signed her up. She’ll be perfect for it. She’s stunning and very athletic. She’s also very likeable, so it will be a great chance to let the public see her personality. And there is every chance she could win.’
‘Kirsty sees it as a brilliant opportunity to get into another side of broadcasting and TV. She loves sport but would love to start doing a bit of entertainment work. She’s a single girl at the moment, so she wouldn’t be against meeting someone. Strictly’s always a hotbed for romance. So who knows, Kirsty could be in luck.’
Kirsty, who has two young sons with, Oscar and Jude, with Paul, tweeted her excitement about appearing on the show. ‘So pleased can finally talk about #strictly. So excited but all the has left my feet v sore! #strictly,’ she said.

Professional dancer on the show Ola Jordan was quick to voice her joy that Kirsty was joining the line-up. ‘So happy my woman crush @TheRealKirstyG is doing @bbcstrictly,” she said. Kirsty replied: ‘@The_OlaJordan @bbcstrictly love you more!!’
Kirsty, who had a rumoured romance with Ryder Cup golf player Martin Kaymer at the end of last year, joins a line up which includes Peter Andre, Georgia May Foote, Katie Derham, Call The Midwife actor Helen George and singer Jamelia.
